I am now applying for UT (MA)now and the department I apply requires a statement of research object. While I have never write something like this, and the deadline is coming...

Could u plz tell me if there is a form in the statement of research object? Do I need to summarize my writing sample(scholarly) ? Must I mention a certain methodology? what if professors are all not interested in my research object?
