Essays / "Are You Digging My Grave ?"/ Thomas Hardy - Need help with this paper [3]

Thomas Hardy was born in England in 1840 . He was well known for his pushlished works in Wessex. He was also an talented poet. Hardy died in 1928. He was the oldest of his siblings. He had one brother and two sisters. He was named after his father who was as named Thomas Hardy . Hardy wrote mostly about poems that deal witht the theme of disappoionment in love and life and the stuggle against coldness to human suffering. Thomas has wrote many different poems.

"Are You Digging My Grave ?" Is about the a women who thinks people whom she impacted while she was a live. Not one of them, not her lover, family or even her dog, give her a second thought anymore after she died. Once we are dead , we are gone and forgotten. This poem is an example of Dark humor as the end leaves you guilty and self centered. This poem was not meant to be romantic. This is a cynical poem that is pretty straight forward that when yo die, our at a standstill while the world just keeps going with out you. There is a lot of irony that draws in with this poem. The irony is that the speaker, address all the people she belives is sad about her death and would be digging on her grave . she belives that someone her she loves is digging on her grave but really infact it is her dog . Her dog has mentioned in the bottom line of the poem that he was really just burring his bone.

Essays / "Are You Digging My Grave ?"/ Thomas Hardy - Need help with this paper [3]

Choosing a topic, gathering relevant information, planning, and organizing the research paper are some of the most common challenges students experience in the writing process. Thus, choosing a topic and developing a cogent thesis and outline page are prerequisites for the research paper required for this course. They offer a provisional map of the best order to plan and present material that may be modified as your ideas and research evolve.

For the Title, Thesis, Outline, and Bibliography assignment:
- First, access the instructions for the research paper and decide what topic you wish to write your essay on.
- Next, develop a one-page thesis and outline that sums up your research paper's main point and provides a list of logically arranged major points supporting the thesis. Be thorough; include subheadings and supporting textual evidence where necessary.

- Furthermore, revise the thesis/outline page to make sure it flows logically and systematically. Have someone peer review it or contact the Online Writing Center for feedback.

- Write a working title that is catchy and sums up the thesis and outline.
- Create a Works Cited/References/Bibliography page (depending on what style you are using) of all of your sources. You should have 5 secondary sources in addition to the primary text.

1.) Research an author's life. How does understanding more about a specific author increase the understanding of his/her works?

I am choosing Thomas Hardy. Can people help me come up with facts to help me with this paper?
