Can someone please help me edit this? I feel like I may be rambling.
People can sometimes unknowingly misuse words. For instance, people often like to refer to something as "unique". When they do this, they typically are using the correct definition which means one of a kind. However, people often misuse it to describe something as being unusual. This same concept can be applied to the words seizure and epilepsy. Believe it or not, seizures and epilepsy are actually very different. Although the words "seizure" and "epilepsy" are often used interchangeably, there is actually quite a distinction between the two. At the same time, however, one can understand why another person-who wasn't well informed on the two subjects-might get the two mixed up. (SSW 7) As much as epilepsy and seizures differ, they have just as many comparisons. Epilepsy and seizures both differ and compare in many ways, for instance, epilepsy is a neurological disorder while a seizure is a "brain dysfunction", both epilepsy and seizures exhibit physiological symptoms, and there can be several factors involved in the causes of each.
