One of my most exhilarating leadership experiences has been the president of the Art Troupe, which is the first association organized by students spontaneously to contract profermances like the school's anniversary party. Before I become the president, I am just a girl who love to express herself by sing and dancing. Until one day I was told by my teacher that she wants me to lead the junior students organizing a Christmas Party. I knew she proposed me for the leader out of her trust but I do feel stressful at the same time. We practiced every night for two weeks, rehearsed over and over again. What surprised me most was they were never late. One of the students told me once because of her illness, she missed some days practices, however instead of finding other student to replace her, I helped her catch up. The Christmas Party was stunning and since I earned the respect from them, I was chosen president of the Art Troupe.

I have a very close friend, Sam. Sam is a gay but he did not unitl he went to high school. When he spunked up enough courage to tell me what kind of person he really is, I got shocked and ran away. Trying to avoid people you care was pretty hard. Everytime I saw the eyes of Sam, I saw helpless and struggling. So I accepted the new Sam and after we had a long heart-to-heart conversation, they decided to keep the secret. But life is no TV show. It was found out when a boy overhearded our conversation and this breaking news ran rapidly in the school. Boys started to slight him: they refused to have lunch with Sam on the same table, called for his expulsion from the sports team, even put the outdated cream in his shampoo just beacasue he was homosexual. I could not bear this anymore so I told our teacher what was happening on Sam. It turned out the teacher asked Sam's parents to bring him home. I will never forget the words he said to me when he left:" I am not shame who I am". I used to think gay person only exist in televesion, but when these thing really happen to the person you care, it is really not a big deal. Therefore, I will not only show my talent to the commiunity but also treat others with a broadened mind and open arms, be a good listener.
