Living in a city is totally different from the countryside. The percentage of the world's population domiciled in cities is increasing and because of this, some of the largest cities must be fairly oppressive places in which to live if you are short of money or unemployed. However, those who have a stable career find city a perfect place to live in with many cultural benefits and other opportunities.

To begin with, life in cities has its major drawbacks. This identifies how many city citizens feel towards big cities. Being aware of the nature of their daily lives there as well as the problems they face make them wish if they could live in the countryside. Such nagging and complaint of cities from their people demonstrate the negative aspects that big cities have. This evidence indicates that living in a city is oppressive.

Underlying people's resentment of cities may be being not a healthy environment to bring up their children. Children in cities are constantly exposed to pollution coming from cars and factories. This may cause them health problems which may stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Further, a sense of community is much less common in cities than in rural areas. People even may do not know their neighbors. According to this, people living in cities are not expected to participate in social events with each other because of the lack of confirmed social ties. What, then, is the point of living if you could not share good moments and bad things with people around you and those who exist in your life?

Housing also causes a headache for those who mitigate to cities from the countryside. It has been reporting that homelessness is considered one of the big issues in conjunction with poverty that people in big cities suffer from. Even when someone finds a place in the city it is usually either much more expensive or situated far from his or her work. Indeed, the place where you live need to be comfortable for you and your family, otherwise the whole living will be difficult.

What is more, living in a city can be dangerous in terms of crime and violence. The number of crimes is in an increase in cities. For instance thieves direct their attention to cities because they find many things to steal. This worries people there especially who acquire valuable things such as jewelries or money kept at their homes. Also children may be in danger of gutting hurt when playing in the streets or the probability of engaging with gangs and criminals.
