This is a straight forward article to discuss. Fair write up but corrections need to be made. First numeric condition of million does not carry s hence review the article and delete the s in front of the million as the numbers show the increasing value. In the end it should be in conclusion not to concluded. Thanks

Scholarship / why I chose anatomy as my area of interest and its importance to Africa [4]
I liken my choice of study in anatomy to the functionality of an engine without which no automobiles can be propelled. As its true for cars that no matter how beautiful or polished the car is, without a functioning engine in it it can't serve it's use. Anatomy is the study of structure and function of the structures that make up a body or a system. It is the back bone of the basic study in medical and health Science. I am a medical doctor and I have chosen anatomy as my area of interest and neuroanatomy as my area of specialization because of it's relevance to the understanding and practice of medicine and it's a fundamental base for all health Science courses. I'm purpose driven and in my career pursuit I have realized I have profound love and great passion for anatomy. Also I want to build on an area that is poorly explored perhaps I can serve as a motivation and a role model for more females to embark on the journey in their quest for knowledge. Anatomy is an area with very few females and fewer female doctors choose neuroanatomy in the Africa and we get to see too many neurological birth defects of which the burden and occurrence can be reduced by improving care or providing early intervention in pregnancy rather than wait till they are born and then spend more in flying them abroad to the western world and India for medical care and possible treatment as the case may be hence the quest for knowledge and pursuit of career in this area is my driving force to source the needed knowledge to intervene.
As anatomy studies the basic blocks of a living entity it has various branches which includes histochemistry, anthropology, anthropometry, biotechnology, genetics, developmental anatomy and cytology, embryology, and neuroanatomy to mention a few. There's no doubt that these branches of anatomy can improve certain birth outcomes and generate sound and useful ground breaking research areas. Anatomy holds a lot of promise even for the economy as we see with clinical anthropology and anthropometry, forensic anthropology, agricultural biotechnology, veternary science and even tourism as most of the aforementioned can be explored to generate finance if properly harnessed.
As earlier mentioned there are few medical doctor and scientists in the basic medical sciences, female academicians are fewer in Africa. Thus this strive will help me create awareness which can go a long way in improving medical education and development in Africa.
In conclusion I believe it's a worthwhile venture to encourage female Africans to diversify in their pursuit of knowledge especially in this area by way of providing scholarships. Anatomy is the bed rock and basis for understanding structure and function but also has varied applications thus it's importance to especially medicine and health can not be overemphasized and furthermore tit's importance to Africa's science development is inexhaustible.
