Undergraduate / My past inspiring moment, whats presently motivating me, where do I " dream" myself in the future [2]
This needs to be 3 paragraphs and 150 to 250 words.
When I was approximately 8 I recall my parents getting me a book, The Art of Walt Disney: From Mickey Mouse to The Magic Kingdoms written by Christopher Finch. After reading through the book with my mother I remember telling her, "I want to be an animator when I grow up and draw for Disney". She inspired me with her abilities to draw and told me anything is possible just keep practicing. My father, however, thought computers were the doorway to the future and insisted I learned that instead. I enjoyed both computers and drawing, so when I noticed Disney movies using computer animation I knew that would be the career I want for my future.
Now that I have kids I want to be a Media Arts & Animation BFA graduate more than ever. Not just to show my children that what their grandmother said was true but for my own satisfaction of completing my dream. After watching two video compilations "Meet Josh Delarosa|Art Institutes|Media Arts|Creativity for Life" and "Art Institutes|Animation Grad Story|Stig Asmussen, Game Director for God of War III" I knew that the Art Institute would be the school I would be guided and Assisted in achieving my career aspirations.
I see myself with the Bachelors of Fine Arts in Media Arts & Animation in my future. I will have that 3D computer animator title and enjoy making feature films that my kids, friends and family will enjoy for a lifetime.
