Graduate / Norway and xxx have the same source of income: oil and gas. [3]

My decision to apply for master program in Petroleum Engineering in xxx is driven by my strong desire to be able to build my country, xxx.

After the discovery of oil in late 1960s, Norway transformed quickly into a welfare country and maintained the position until now, while xxx remained 'developed'. Norway and xxx have the same source of income: oil and gas. However, Norway absorbed the knowledge and created beneficial oil rules, supported by Norwegian culture, creating a wealthy and prosperous country. I really hope i can learn how Norway rose and developed their petroleum power, and the culture it had so it can be independent nowadays without any aid from other countries.

When I finish the master program, I will have more advanced knowledge and skills about petroleum engineering. For several years, I will work as a petroleum engineer in an oil and gas company, in order to enrich my knowledge and sharpen myself. Later, when the circumtances are perfect, I will create a new oil state company. I would like to repeat what Norway did in the past by inviting Norway to xxx to teach us and let us absorb the knowledge, so we can explore the deep ocean together and independently produce our own fossil energy. I believe this can strengthen the bond between countries and can help erase starvation and poverty.

In my 21 years of life, i have a number of experiences which would help me successfully take the master program. During my first two years of undergraduate studies in Engineering at xxx University, I learned core engineering subjects such as fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. I spent my third year of university by working in xxx and xxx as an engineering intern. This gave me a chance to learn the whole process of production of fossil fuels. It also gave me the opportunity to learn to perform different engineering roles which have further increased my understanding of engineering and prove that I am a fast learner.

Afterwards, I worked in xxx, a worldwide oil and gas company, from which I learned a lot about the core process of oil and gas. The company itself also has an extensive knowledge in resources so that I could learn a lot about hydrocarbon exploration and production. I believe my experience will serve me well as a graduate student and as a petroleum engineer. The missions I am particularly passionate in are examining the production potential of deposits as well as technical means to implement to maximize recovery rates.

I am very excited to join the incoming class at the NTNU, Norway. It has more than 100 years in innovation of science and technology. The university itself, founded in 1910, has contributed a solid century of academic achievements and discoveries that have shaped Norwegian society. I sincerely believe I would be an excellent student in your program, and I am prepared to work and study hard in order to meet the high standards that NTNU is known for.

Please comments.. i desperately need any inputs..
Thanks beforehand
