Undergraduate / "When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do" [2]
Prompt: Writing is a vital component of being an artist , and an extremely important part of being a student at SAIC. Tell us about you, your art-making practices, and why you are a strong candidate for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's (SAIC) undergraduate program.Include information about what inspires you, what does your artistic process look like, share why you are interested in and utilize certain materials, exhibitions in which you have participated, or other activities that contribute to the making of your work. If you are applying to the BFA with an Emphasis in Writing, your statement needs also to address how you imagine a studio arts environment will impact your writing practice. (The application won't accept a response shorter than 250 words.)
ESSAY Beginning:Walt Disney once said "When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do." And I agree. I let my artistic inquires lead me. Can I do this? What if..? How about if I experiment with...? These are just some of the questions that lead me to my designing style. I like to design based on the project mostly, the mood it must have in order to work properly. I usually let my curiosity take me places I would've never gone, to do things in my artwork that otherwise I never thought would work.
I've always been a curious person wondering how things work, as a child I used to mix cleaning solutions from my bathroom just to see what would happen, my mother used to call these "concoctions". As I got older I focused this energy on art.
HELP!!!!!: I don't know where I'm going with this i know what I'm trying to say but thats it. I wanna talk about how my curiosity has helped me as an artist and designer.
