Writing Feedback / I closed my eyes and started the chanting!; The moment of the Lords. [11]

tiantian12,
this essay is about a person who got the message/request from her Lords to re-enter the path to her journey of spirituality. it is a conversation with both the Lords and herself... so i wanted to highlight how she was able to understand that she has been forgetting/avoiding her true nature and how she got the courage to carry on.

Rajiv,
you helped a lot to understand my mistakes. thank you very much.

Liebe,
thank you for helping with my essay. i am an A/Level student. my assignment was to write any short-story that we felt could grab the attention of the reader and give them some good messages which would make them think critically. so i thought of writing a spiritual one which is highly related to religious ideas and i wanted to make sure that everybody could understand it. that is the reason why i used the word "Lords" here and didn't mention anything about any particular religion. do you think i have been able to make the reader think critically after reading my story?

EF_Sean,
thank you very much. well, i know the essay must sound like incomplete but i just wanted to write only about the begining of her journey of spirituality. i didn't want to relate anything else(eg:her life style) that would make the reader wonder about those rather than the messages i am trying to give. do you think it is good to write this story the way i have written or should the story be more explained with other facts?

Writing Feedback / I closed my eyes and started the chanting!; The moment of the Lords. [11]

thank you...

------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------

I closed my eyes and started the chanting. They appeared on the left of my side. Bald headed and simple dressed though they were, their mere presence had a pleasant, powerful aura about them.

"We have been observing, you are loosing the sense of your path". Their deep, clam voices rushed through my vains, blood and peaceful mind.

"It is hard to keep up, my Lords", said I.

"You are a qualified person to be amongst us, Why give up now?"

"I have started forgetting, my Lords". I answered with a feeling of sadness and understanding. I wanted to talk to them, stay with them and, have this conversation for a long time, forever.

"That is your challenge in the everlasting circle of life, trying to remember and never letting go. It is hard, indeed, as we have seen and went through our own destined challenges, we know. But that is the only way. You have come this far, Why the hesitation now? Do not forget ... Remember ..." Their voices faded away with the last few words. Still, the memory of their images remained.

"Yes, my Lords ..." I sounded vigilant, determined yet calm.

They had a message for me, an omen to find my destiny. The very feeling of their existence gave me the strength to look beyond the obvious.

I opened my eyes. The path has changed it's way though life still sings the old song. I smiled at my own thoughts. Time to let go and continue the journey of my destiny, toward the horizon...

Development of content of the web in a higher level, basically, is target for the end user. Thus, computer sceintists and web designers came up with solutions which revolve around the human psychology and brain structure. the layout mechanisms, colours, pictures and natural ratios are always used in a very technical but a practical way so that people can relate themselves to the web easily. thus, web designers use human psychology and brain structure as tools to gather more users.

The layout mechanisms of a website are designed for both interactivity and viewing purposes. web designers tend to apply techniques of colour psychology and pictures for a layout which is dedicated for interactivity. light colours and high contrast are used when a designer needs the attention for a particular object in a web site. for example, web sites for jewellery. here, the designer has to make sure that users would directly give their attention for the picture and information of the jewellery not other data in the web page such as advertisements. designers use bright colours and unfamiliar or different objects when they need an instant attention from a user. web advertisements have those qualities mentioned above. people always try to avoid unnecessary facts from their lives. same thing happens, when a user logs in to a web page. so, the designer has a one and only chance to grab the glance of a user. which is why, designers tend to use bright colours for advertisements. also, there a few colours which designers consider as important when necessary but dangerous when used in the wrong situation. Black for instance,is considered to be the colour of protest. there is a high possible chance that a user would avoid the web page, if Black used as the main colour in that page. Grey is another example. it does not generate feelings for a human being. so, there is a likely chance that the designer would avoid Grey , if he/she is creating a web page which require feelings.

Similarly, web designers give their concentration to the fullest while choosing photographs and pictures for a web site. a photo of a woman in a Black dress who is carrying a candle, on her way to a cemetery would not be a suitable photograph for a web site of a hospital. the hospital is a place where most of the people seek feelings of hope and faith not despair and disdain.

Comfortable readability is a very important fact for a web site. here, fonts play a vital role. designers mainly use, Serif-for highlighting and Sans Serif-for high readability. they hardly use Times New Roman as the main style of the fonts for a website such as BBCNews.com where people read very long articles. Designers inclined to use natural ratios as well. either the Golden ratio(1.6) or 1.44 is always used while creating spaces between two font characters and area of a page. this technique is also used for high readability purposes.

Web designers also use the method of highlighting and scanning. people like to read contents which they think are interesting. so, designers use highlighted topics, fonts. method of scanning is also used by many web designers. people normally used to read the first few sentences of a page. then they start reading from here and there which leaves many sentences unread by the user. this process is called scanning. so, designers try to squeeze a highlighted topic as soon as, according to their calculations, that the user is going to skip a sentence.

By using the techniques of human psychology and brain structure, web designers have successfully reached millions of people all around the world. web designers try to make users very comfortable by giving the powers of high readability, scanning and subtly by using the colour psychology and pictures. in exchange, developers and designers of the web gain the attention of people which is their main goal, indeed.
