Early technological developments helped ordinary people and changed their lives more than recent technological developments Do you agree or disagree?

Answer:

The world we live in is changing at much faster pace due to the development of new technologies. In many countries, technological developments have become the focus of media attention for many years. Some people think that the early technological innovations have more influence on the human then recent technologies. Personally, I totally disagree this view.

No doubt, early technological innovations and developments contributed to people's well-being. First of all, due to the earlier technologies, the concept of distances between people has been diminishing. For example, through using the telephone, people can communicate with each other even though they live in different countries. Additionally, it is the earlier inventions that help people to broaden their horizons. One good example about this is the television. We have seen and continue to see people the world over watching televisions and enjoying TV programmes at night. Similarly, it is manifest that the invention of the computer and the internet also play vital roles in people's daily lives and render people's lives more convenient.

Nevertheless, the recent technologies exert far more influence on people and our society. Especially, our qualities of life are enhanced by the recent technological developments. Take the medical area as an example, due to the invention of the wearable technology and devices, people can monitor their health at any time and place. Moreover, the recent innovations also help people to preserve the ecological environment, Around the world, a large number of windmills are built to provide the green energy. Besides, our society's prosperity also derives from recent technologies. In the transportation area, for instance, there are already trains and cars without drivers in some countries, such as Sweden and Denmark.

In conclusion, what will happen is that, although the early technological developments helped and changed people's lives, the recent technologies enhanced people's standard of living more than ever before.
