Whenever I browse the internet I usually find myself on 9gag.com. 9gag is an online community where individuals are allowed to post images, memes, or even stories. Although most of these posts are meant to be amusing, they can be about virtually anything an individual feels compelled to share.

I personally enjoy the website because it offers a enjoyable setting where I can connect with people who I share interests with. Whether they be Star Wars fans, gamers or even travel enthusiasts the website's community is highly diverse and interesting. Its diversity is one of my favorite aspects as individuals around the world interact in a positive community. Over the years I have learned about a variety of cultures and countries, although not in the most traditional sense. Unfortunately, like most online destinations, 9gag does have its share of inappropriate and vulgar users. Sometimes this does take away from the enjoyment of the website, however over the years 9gag has made improvements to alienate these kinds of posts by providing NSFW (Not Safe For Work) sections.

9gag offers a break from serious and often times stressful matters such as school work or even family issues. I usually find myself on the website when I need to relax, take a break, or sometimes just to have a good laugh. 9gag helps me balance my life as it provides a place where I can be myself and enjoy my interests.
