I hope to receive your comment on this
About the requirements of the motivation letter: minimum 1 page long and a Times New Romans 12-point letters

Dear Admission Committee,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Master's program in Autonomous Vehicle Control Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. My passion for this field was sparked when I watched Formula 1 in 2020. I was curious to understand how control systems ensure that every milisecond counts. Therefore, this led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering and Automation at one the most prestigious technical universities in my country, where I graduated with a CPGA 3.59.

During that time, my main research focus was on the study of consensus behavior in multi-agent systems, which involves a group of autonomous agents, such as robots or sensors, starting with different initial values and converging to a common value. My final thesis was a study of double-integrator systems without velocity measurements, aiming to achieve consensus using fewer sensors without compromising efficiency, which aligns well with the world's sustainable goals of green innovations. Through the Master's program at BME, known for its strong research in control systems and autonomous vehicle technologies, I anticipate gaining advanced knowledge and skills in controlling autonomous vehicles. The hands-on experience and research opportunities at BME will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the field, preparing me for the challenges and innovations required in the modern vehicles field.

Upon my return to my home country, I aim to become an expert in controlling smart vehicles. By the end of 2026, some big cities in Vietnam will ban fossil fuel cars, and it is expected that the need for electric and smart vehicles will rise. This represents both an opportunity and a challenge for me as an individual who wished to contribute to the autonomous vehicle specialization. My plan is to collaborate with key autonomous vehicles organizations, applying the advanced skills and insight gained to address the rapidly growing demand for electric and intelligent transportation systems. Therefore, the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship will be a perfect support for me to achieve this dream. The trusted friendship and close ties between Vietnam and Hungary have been built over more than 75 years of diplomatic cooperation, creating a meaningful context for my academic goals. By pursuing my master's degree in Hungary, I hope to bring back advanced expertise that strengthen academic and technological cooperation between the two countries.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

New essay in a new thread please

Your "Eureka!" moment that opened your eyes to the wonders of autonomous vehicles is not convincing. It is too shallow and does not portray the actual development of your interest in the field. You should try to deepen your realization that you want to pursue this field beyond what you saw during the Formula 1 race. This is the hook of your essay, you need to make sure it creates an impact on the reviewer.

The 2nd paragraph should be more focused on proving the continuing education path that you want to academically pursue. Create the bridge between your college thesis and your soon to be masters thesis. How would you connect the two areas of study? Why is this relevant to your current profession? How will you apply what you will be learning? Your paragraph hits the markers for information, but does not provide the required data for the reviewer to consider.

Dear Admission Committee,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Master's program in Systems, control and mechatronics at Chalmers University. My passion for this field was sparked while watching the 2020 Formula 1 race, where high-performance racing cars rely on dense sensor networks to provide engineering teams with real-time data for control and decision-making. Through further exploration, I realized that many important vehicle states, such as tyre grip or aerodynamic downforce, cannot be directly measured by sensors, but must instead be estimated by combining sensor data with mathematical models. This raised my interest in understanding how state-estimation and control algorithms can ensure fast convergence of estimation errors and reliable real-time performance. This insight led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Control Engineering and Automation at one of the most prestigious technical universities in my country in this field, where I graduated with a 3.59 CGPA.

My main research focus during that time was the study of consensus behavior in multi-agent systems involving a group of autonomous agents, such as robots or sensors, that start with different initial values and converge to a common value. My final thesis examined double-integrator systems without using velocity measurements to achieve consensus, thereby reducing sensor requirements without compromising efficiency. This aligns well with the world's sustainable development goals regarding green innovations. The list of courses I studied from my Bachelor's degree has prepared me well for the syllabus of the upcoming Master's program, particularly from controlling linear systems to more complex, discrete systems. Given my academic background in control theory and my interest in high-performance vehicle systems, this Master's program at Chalmers University represents a suitable continuation of my studies. When I enroll in this programme, I will participate in the Automatic Control Group to gain advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in controlling autonomous vehicles. In response to the fast-growing trend of electric vehicles (EVs) in Vietnam, my proposed master's thesis would focus on multi-sensor systems in autonomous vehicles, with state-estimation and consensus-based control strategies under various constraints to ensure reliable and efficient vehicle operation.

Upon returning to my home country, I plan to become an expert in controlling smart vehicles. By the end of 2026, some big cities in Vietnam are expected to restrict fossil fuel cars, leading to a significant increase in the demand for EVs. This presents an opportunity and a challenge for me as someone who wants to contribute to the field of autonomous vehicles. I plan to collaborate with key autonomous vehicle organizations and apply the advanced skills and insights I gain to address the rapidly growing demand for electric and intelligent transportation systems.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
