NYU's global network provides students with hundreds of academic areas of interest for students to cultivate their intellectual curiosity and to help achieve their career goals. Whether you are entirely undecided about your academic plans or you have a definitive program of study in mind, what are your own academic interests? Feel free to share any thoughts on any particular programs or how you might explore those interests at NYU on any of our campuses.
To some people, it's just a dark room where a bunch of strangers sit together for two hours and stare at a projection on a white screen. But it's more than that; it's a form of storytelling. Here lessons are learned, people are entertained, art is presented to an audience. I enjoy taking part in this activity; in fact this is where a large amount of my childhood was spent. In these dark rooms which were in my mind, full of life, color, and light by these films. This led me to pursue a career as a filmmaker. NYU New York is the perfect place for me to start this journey. The Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television is home to one of the top film programs in the world. At this institute, I plan to do a large amount of hands on work and fulfill NYU's mission statement: become a better skilled filmmaker and storyteller while still earning a top quality education that competes with those of more traditional schools through NYU's Core Program, use NYU's Global Network to my full advantage by studying in Prague, London, and Paris to further my education in my academics, interesting cultures and to observe the beauty of the these countries, and lastly by taking part in NYU's internship program which will help me get established in the film industry and build my own network.
