I would like to show my essay of 500 words ( I have more than that) and read your opinion. Thank you!

Using technology and media has been always being a recurrent action in my life. As a child I grew up playing with the turtle of Logo, then the era of the encyclopedias in CD-Rom arrived with beautiful pictures that attached to my school homeworks, finally the Internet was plugged in my computer's house and that became the open window to a whole universe of information which makes me part of the people who like to be updated with the latest information. As time past by, I started using my passion for information in my profession, with devices and web pages that caught the attention of those students with difficult learning process in my professional area. I also use some social media websites to learn more about my profession, to discover other people that share my personal interests, and to be updated on news and opinions of the rest of the world and share it in my social networks.

I could have continued my profession development in the specific areas of education, but considering myself more than just a teacher, I decided to look for the same old feeling I had with the Internet as an open window. In my readings about information and technology I founded the expression "knowledge worker" which opened my eyes and compelled me to know more about the topic. I found myself fitting in some of the characteristics of the "knowledge worker" that Peter Drucker once mentioned on his books. Feeling more comfortable with this idea, I started the search for something that could help me to do more with the opportunities I have been given.

The first time I heard about the Syracuse University was in the universities badges of foursquare, then my brother, who is already studying there, told me about the School of Information and show me page of the Certificate of Advanced study in Information Innovation. Reading more about the university and the person that should apply to the certificate, I felt identified with the profile given. Most of the people I exchange knowledge are professional in Social Media and they frequently tell me to focus my experience as a broadcaster of social sites and take it as an addition to my education profile. A specialist on Technology of Information and Communication in Education could have been another choice to specialize in, however, I feel this will not use my full potential of what I am. This self-encouragement takes me to consider more appropriate the opportunity to study in an academically prestigious university as Syracuse University. It will be the perfect chance to enhance and supplement my professional career

It has been a privilege to me to grow up in a supportive family who has helped me to conquer every step in life and to clarify the ways to become what I want to be. My older brothers have seen my potential and they are always encouraging me to be more than just an employee. Thanks to them I have tools to teach better, learn more and communicate. They have been my benefactors. Thanks to them I have had the chance to improve my English at the English Language Center at the Brigham Young University and receive a Certification of Teaching English with Oxford Seminaries. At this moment has not being different to receive their fully support in this new step of my life.

To receive a Certificate of Advanced Study in Information Innovation would give me the qualification necessary to support the activities that I do as a hobby which is communicate using social media networking. I have had opportunities where I have been a spokesperson of my favorites social sites such as Twitter and foursquare. This background helped me to tackle the common questions of the users this Social Media Sites, but the CAS would give me a solid profile to share with others. Part of my future plans is to boost my personal profile with the Master in Information Management offered also in the School of Information of the Syracuse University.

I understand that you may be a non-English speaker, but the expressions that you are using seem way too forced that they either dont seem genuine or dont make perfect sense (Grammatically and/or meaning-wise).

Also, as the introductory paragraph wasnt that great, a skim read through your essay and I found too many cliches that I had to stop and comment.

Thank you. I am still not sure about the "cliche". Would you help me to identify them?
