I have to write a monologue from the character Basil Hallward's point of view.
My teacher strongly suggested that we do the scene where he is about to confront Dorian Gray about wanting his portrait back.
She said that our monologue would be what goes through Basil's head as he is sitting there while waiting for Dorian to come home.
We would need to grasp the writing style as the authos - Oscar Wilde and no modern terms should be present in the monologue of course.
The word limit is between 600-800 words. It is an in-class exam thing and it's due next Wednesday (7th August 2011).
We only got our task sheet last Friday and I really need help with this as the whole next week is just block exams starting from Tuesday through to Friday.
We are not allowed to take the novel into the exam room however a 100word planning sheet is allowed.
Thanks for helping me!
