compaq1 1 / - Sep 25, 2010 #1Hi,Im trying to think about a topic for my dissertation for my final year of Quantity Surveying. I was thinkin of relating it to offshore wind farms and how I could tie it in from a QS stand point. If anyone could offer me their thoughts on the matter i would be very grateful...regards,compaq1

Wind farms represent an important contemporary topic; has anyone else written about QS for wind farms? The thing to do is approach this in a way that is aligned with your vision for the future... so that it applies directly to the kind of work you want to do. If you want to write about wind farms, the first thing to do is look for what else has been written about them, especially if anyone has written about QS in relation to them. What are some typical research topics in QS? Maybe the discourse involves a lot of observation of trends. The important thing to do right now is collect 5 or 10 articles related to your topic. As you read, think about a PROBLEM you can solve by doing your research.
