Hey, I seem to remember a facebook page being a very crucial artifact that helped to inspire the revolution in Egypt. But I don't know how much graphic design was involved.

Try the same words with Libya instead of Egypt.
I hope you find an article that mentions SOME kind of graphic art. It might not say "graphic design" specifically. Oh, here is another idea:

I have been asked to write an essay in 1500 words that explores a current issue in Graphic Design practice in terms of technology then raise a question and then come to an conclusion.

Maybe there is so much advancement in Graphic Design that the basic and simple ideas are becoming less and less precious to truly understand. The notion that even with bigger and better, the real beauty is just the simple stuff. That technology is pulling people away from really making their work unique.
