master program application
I am applying for master in mechatronics, I have written an introduction paragraph in which I am intruding my self, my past qualification and experience. its is still incomplete but I need a feedback on what I have written so far.
As said by Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. I believe in imagining things, pursuing them with all my strength and shaping them into reality. Every fascinating technology we see today was once an imagination. The only way to turn imagination into reality is by advancement and progress in science and technology; the great evidence to support this belief is Robots. Once, imagination is now helping and assisting humans in everyday tasks and making their lives better, and it is done only by the progress of technology.
I have always been fascinated by robots. To pursue my passion for robotics, I joined Mechatronics Engineering at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) to increase the horizon of my technical imagination. Mechatronics, a blend of Mechanical, Electronics, Computing and Control Systems, taught me the perfect prerequisite needed for robotics. The undergraduate curriculum in Mechatronics Engineering at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) helped in receiving theoretical knowledge in a wide variety of engineering subjects; during my four years' study in the institute, I studied Artificial Intelligence, Digital Login Design, Digital Signal Processing, C/C++ Programming, Machine Design, Micro Processor, Controls System, Digital Control System, Industrial Automation, Simulation and Modelling, Mechatronics System Design and Introduction to Robotics. Out of all, Robotics has been one of my favourite courses, blend of theoretical concepts and practical approaches made it perfect for every curious mind to study and pursue a career in robotics. Working on RHINO, ABB, and Six DOF flight simulators made the whole journey worthwhile. Mainly working on a project in which I designed a quadcopter took the entire course to another level. My Final Year Project was to harness the electrical energy by human workout on a pulldown machine and store it into a battery bank for later use. To achieve this, a portable mechanism had been designed and fabricated that can be attached to the existing pulldown machine with minor modifications. In the project, my key tasks were designing the mechanism, integrating sensors, and programming them, which worked as feedback for our mechanism. This project helped me in shaping up and elevating my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Moreover, our final year project was funded by Ignite, a non-profit company owned by the Government of Pakistan and administered by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
During my bachelors, I did internships to get practical exposure as well. During my training in PIA (Pakistan International Airlines), I got a chance to look at jet engines and other mechatronics systems in an aircraft. This helped in understanding and observing mechatronics systems in practical and helped in gaining immense knowledge. My other internship in Orient Energy System helped me gain more practical knowledge related to my field. After my graduation, I took a full-time job as Assistant Line Leader in the assembly unit of Transsion Electronics, where I gained leadership skills and applied my knowledge for the smooth operation of a Semi-Automatic Assembly Line. After working there for a year, I moved to another city as I got a chance to work as Project Engineer in a private company, Hidroid Technologies. Here I learnt different CAD/CAM software and machines; moreover, I worked on microcontrollers. The 2020 Global Pandemic allowed me to enhance my skills by enrolling in multiple online courses, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, Python Programming, Nano Mechatronics, and Bio Mechatronics.
