Undergraduate / "America's Best Colleges" guide - UCF Admissions Essay Help? [16]
Hi there, I'm not sure if this is too short or not. I know that I have to do two essays and combined they cant be more than 500 words or 7000 characters so yeah. Criticism is encouraged!!
I vividly remember the day I picked up U.S. News & World Report's 2010 "America's Best Colleges" guide. Browsing through it I saw various articles Top Ivy League Schools, Best Medical Programs, Largest Campus', etc. The article that really interested me, however, was the one titled "Top 5 National Universities To Watch". I was interested in reading about schools that may not be nationally known yet, but have the potential to become a school people would talk about. University of Central Florida was the first to catch my eye. "A Florida school?" I thought to myself, having previously read mostly about New York or California schools. I read on, and after online research and a visit to the campus, my mind was made up - UCF was the school for me. In addition to being a great up-and-coming school, UCF has the ideal location for my major. There is quite possibly no place better to hone my hospitality knowledge than a city that is the home of huge attractions such as Disney World and Universal Studios. The central location of the University of Central Florida is also ideal for work when I graduate from college, due to the copious (amount of) hotels and resorts resided around the University. Aside from academic reasons, UCF is a relatively new and beautiful campus with what seems like a lot of potential to become a top notch school.
also, the (amount of) thats parenthesized is because I dont know whether or not its copious hotels or copious amount of hotels
