Seek the Truth; do not believe in something simply because an authority says so [3]
Very good abstract! "Ignorance is bliss, so they say, but living in a lie is a mistake" - I like this sentence the most. It reminds me some quotes: The authority of those who teach is very often a hindrance to those who wish to learn. (Marcus Tullius Cicero). In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual. (Galileo Galilei)

To say that only one person influenced my passion for baking would be entirely untrue. [3]
I liked this essays very much. You are writing about the baking in such a tasty manner! Donaught?
Thus I would suggest you to write a little bit more about grandmother, because the theme is "Who Most Influenced You", not "Influenced to do what". You can add some stories from your life, describe your first pankake with your Grandmother etc. Good luck!
