Writing Feedback / The Key Qualities of an Ethical Teacher - What is my stand on this? -Essay paragraph [3]

HI I'm new to this. Can someone please critically look at my paragraph. It is an opinion essay.

The Key Qualities of an Ethical Teacher - What is my stand on this?

Reflection

A very important aspect of the ethical teacher is reflecting on the moral impact of their actions. Firstly, a principal replied to me after sharing with her, that she wished one of her teachers would reflect on her actions. 'Only by carefully analysing your beliefs and values can you model and help develop moral literacy'. (Herman, Tuana. 2007). For example, if a teacher's role is to teach a student to think about their actions, then the teacher needs to be able to practice this skill her/himself. When a teacher apologises to their students' for unwarranted grumpiness, students' learn the art of how to do it themselves without being demeaned and all importantly receiving the apology graciously. 'Sustained reflection on teaching is a good method for monitoring the learning experiences of students, and making appropriate changes and modifications. It is necessary element for growth of teacher and student as we are all a work-in-progress.

Servant Leadership

My experiences in leadership has given me an awareness of the role of servant leader as a teacher. For example, 'once a person assumes the mantle of a teacher, one becomes a servant leader, first in the classroom, and then in the school.' (Crippen, 2005) 'Service' suggests one is working for others in their interests, placing these above or beyond one's own and that this work is carried out for reasons other than extrinsic material ones (Wise, 2005) For example, acting in the role of an ambulance officer or teaching young students or adult students, I lead the situation and serve either the patient or student to heal or learn. A servant leader would be intuitive of the ethics involved in the teaching activity and the fine balance required. Thus, servant leader is a key quality of the ethical teacher.

Undergraduate / Business field / Better Place / Improve Education - Application short response answer [5]

I would heartily agree with this post. Educating students on alternative nutrition and ways to enjoy food substituting the rubbish food for alternatives that trick the brain into thinking it's getting what it's always eaten, otherwise adding small amounts of ground almonds or sunflower seeds to flour to add fatty acids and minerals. Maybe adding some tahini to peanut butter in tiny amounts to get sesame seeds in the diet that is digestible.

Essays / Atonement: How will I pace out this essay question into reasonable topic sentences [4]

'The novelist's imaginative entry into other minds can never obviate the fact that these minds are ultimately, his or her own creation.' (Laura Marcus)

Discuss point of view as a technique and as a theme in Atonement.

It's about free indirect discourse and briony getting into her other character's minds like Jane Austen's writings.

Key Words

Imaginative (entry into others minds, original), obviate the fact (can't avoid), his or her own creation ( design¸ formulated). Meanings taken from Thesaurus on Computer.

Required: convincing argument essay, giving evidence from the novel text and academic research, which takes into consideration Laura Marcus's statement. This essay needs to be presented in a series of paragraphs with an obvious topic sentence.

I'm not sure on how to handle this part of the requirement: which takes into consideration Laura Marcus's statement.
How do I slant it taking this into consideration.
Thanks

Writing Feedback / [IELTS Writing] about children and television [4]

MMmmm. Interesting. having raised 3 children tv was monitored and they were allowed certain programmes. I had my special programs as well. we only had one tv in the house so it couldn't really be abused. I think if you bring your children up with books from the cot and read to them they will choose this as a form of entertainment and help their literacy skills. they always went to bed with a book and read before sleeping. They've all been educated well and love watching their special programs as well but certainly not all day.
