Writing Feedback / position on Arizona Law: support and opposition( one body paragraph for each side). [4]

First and very important point that Arizona State was trying to make is that this law, called Arizona SB 1070, is concerned about safety its citizens. During these few years, when economics went down and our financial lives changed drastically, flaw of the illegal immigration to the USA didn't decrease. At times when Americans were losing their jobs and being laid-off, anti-legal aliens were getting the jobs and paid cash: they don't pay taxes! Majority of them doesn't even speak English. Moreover, many of the immigrants are drug dealers and criminals and we don't want our kids to become drug addicts, our loved ones to be killed by an illegal criminal! As a matter of fact, the law was "vetoed" once, but this time it came up after a farmer was killed by an illegal slugger and reaction of the society was triggered by fear for the future. There is a lot of talk of the offended ones that even in countries of ole conservative Europe nobody demands the presentation of proper identification from foreigners: what makes it such a big deal? Im my country every single citizen, not even mentioning immigrants, has to carry a passport or an ID at all times! When it comes to safety - better safe than sorry!

On another hand, not every immigrant is a slugger or a criminal, not everyone is in the country illegally! When Americans complain that immigrants take their jobs they have to consider that the pay that these very aliens receive for the job - and the kind of job that none of would do- is comical! Clearly, being an immigrant and an illegal immigrant are two different things. However, this law is too hostile towards immigrants altogether: it seems like every immigrant on the Arizona State sole is supposed to be illegal! How come some police officer can judge whether I'm breaking the law? What if somebody just happened to look certain way that would attract Police, but being perfectly legal? The State government is forgetting that this country was built by immigrants from all over the world and mainstream of the population has some immigrant blood in. This law is totally unethical to anyone who lives or visits the State: the discrimination of people of particular race utterly breaks the trust to the law enforcement! As Cardinals Rodger M. Mahony of Los Angeles said "authorities' ability to demand documents was like "Nazism" - something that no modern country tolerates. To sum up, Governor Brewer's acceptance of the bill only led to major immigrant outflow from Arizona to other, less strict on immigration, states. The U.S.' citizens were convinced that they are protected by the Bill of Rights from unlawful treatment, but monitoring news from Arizona I'm doubtful.

Research Papers / Gay and Lesbian Parenting cause effect thesis statement [5]

in my opinion, nature plays a bigger role in stating the sexuality, and parents can notice a different behavior even when a kid is quite small. the job that the parents have to do is very important - thay have to protect their child from insecurity because the impact of the home enviroment may drastically change the kid's attitudes towards the worls. You can make some research on it; if you heard, there was this kid, Tyler Clementy, who killed himslef by jumping off the GW bridge in NY, after he was accused of having a sexual intercourse with another male studemt. This incident wans the first one during the 4-week timing and you can say that if parents are not supportive nad dont love their child for who he is, consequences might be quite dramatical. Good luck

Undergraduate / "a doctor, who herself went through tough times" - why are you applying to college [4]

hi everyone) please feel free to criticize this essay, i wrote it on my break, so it's not well done(. please let me know what you think of this rough draft

Life is a very curious thing and we never know where it might lead us after we choose a certain road. Four years ago, when I just came to the USA, I didn't even consider on staying here, but here I am. It took me four long, challenging years to understand that life has to be different, changing in direction of progress and development. Back home, in Russia, I always lived by a scheme, not much concerned about my future, which was taken care of by my relatives. However, today, when I have experienced some challenges and went through different experiences on my own, I see how important it is for an individual to express himself through a higher level learning.

College is the transitional point that can take you to the destination only if you want to, and that destination point for me is establishment of my personality through becoming a valuable part of the society. College educates, teaches cognitive, critical thinking which is so important for a human being in a modern, drastically changing world. I want to learn how to ask right questions and see the world with the new eyes, comprehending its complexity and diversity. I want to change my social position, thus stop working on the jobs that don't require anything, but physical-no thinking labor; I want to see how far can I go academically and at least try to learn "how the heavens go".

I was dramatically influenced to go to college by one of my coworkers, a doctor, who herself went through tough times and was motivated to improve her living. She made me see the difference, that I didn't see living in the boring, unchanging routine. In the past, only few chosen ones could go to colleges, but today, it has become more available for us and I don't want to live my life without trying this challenge. I don't want to wake up one morning, look in the glass and see how pointless and insufficient my life has been, and that I never took any action on altering it.
