Book Reports / An essay outline on the Enlightenment? [2]
Hi this is my first time posting here and I really need some help writing an 8-10 page essay,
the prompt is as follows,
"One of the themes of the Enlightenment is working through the tension between the authority of tradition as a guide to good morals and politics and the capacity of unaided reason to lead us in good morals and politics. Write an 8-10 page paper in which you 1. discuss the tension between tradition and reason by drawing on two seminar texts, and 2 critically evaluate the views presented in one of those texts"
our seminar texts include Gulliver's travels, and mediation on first philosophy
i have a lot of information on the enlightenment, and these texts that i want to use i just don't know how to put them into words in a way that will answer the prompt
i've tried to write an outline but i really don't know where to start
any help would be amazing EVEN IF ITS NOT SPECIFIC TO THE PROMPT!
