Graduate / Master in IS Management and programming - personal statement [3]

During the nine years, it has equipped me with the stable technical skills in programming and experience with SDLC methodologies. Throughout the experience of working on different IT projects, it sparks has established my interest in project management and Imade me realized that my own career goal is to be a professional IT manager or even a Chief Information Officer. However, I think that my existing knowledge and experience is not enoughinsufficient for me to step overbe able to reachachieve my goal. Hence , T this is my motivation behind of my admission to your course .

To be a successfully IT manager, the rich IT knowledge and experience is very critical. However , But the knowledge in various areas of project is also importantcrucial . I expect that the Master in Information System Management at [Uni Name] will allows me to enhance and strengthen my academic knowledge about management theories and methodologies. Also, through the peer to peer experience sharing, I expect I can learn what I difficulties would be faced onto be able to familiarize myself with the challenges and difficulties that may arise during IS management inat various industries and how to settle it by sharing the ideasand learn how to overcome these challenges and difficulties by sharing ideas with one another .

During the time of studying in [Uni Name] for my bachelor degree at [Uni Name], I truly believe that [Uni Name] is the best choice to due to the excellent academic reputation and atmosphere within the university.

Thank you in advance for considering my application. It is awill be a great honor for me to have an opportunity forto studyingin aat a leading global university like yours .

Hi Letoile,

Some suggestions your may want to consider adding into your personal statement;

-SDLC, maybe you can write the full name instead it's abbreviation. The admission officer may not know what it is abbreviated from.
-During the time of studying in [Uni Name] for my bachelor degree, I truly believe that [Uni Name] is the best choice to due to the excellent academic reputation and atmosphere within the university ? Which uni are applying for your masters? Is it the same as your bachelor degree? This sentence is a little bit confusing. If it is the same then maybe you can say "My bachelor degree at [Uni Name] was a wonderful/great experience for me and I wish to continue my masters here as well due to its excellent academic....

If not then you need to separate the sentence, otherwise it is confusing.

GOODLUCK

Graduate / 'a research assistant' - SoP for doctoral studies in Robotics [2]

Bbferka, your SOP looks great. Here are some small adjustments;

During the years of my studies I have always showed an interest for systems that interact with the surrounding world and which can have an impact on day to daydaily life. This curiosity was the relevant factor that led me in choosing my summer internships and bachelor thesis. ByWw orking on these I learned a lot about how to approach complex and real world problems, improving both my analytical and programming skills.

I was and I amI am very much fascinated by how robotics first revolutionized the manufacturing industry and now with the latest technological advances is getting closer and closer to significantly change the everyday life of people. Therefore I chose to do my research for my masters thesis at the X University of Y in the field of robotic vision and perception systems. During this internship I worked on the implementation of an object classification library, a framework designed to offer a lightweight skeleton for easy and unified implementation of 3D object classification algorithms and the development of a novel classification method, based on object over-segmentation.

ByWw orking as a research assistant, working on my publishing my first publications and participating at my first conference helped me get agained good insight on the current challenges in robotics as well as what it means to work in an academic environment. I came to realize that I want to deepen my knowledge in this field and become a PhD student.

Although I have been exposed to a variety of fields and methodologies, in the future I would like to dedicate my research efforts in to solving perception and vision problems in robotics. I believe, that although significant advances have been made regarding perception and vision in the last few years, there is still a variety of compelling issues to warrant thorough research. I feel that the position offered by your institution could be a great challenge for me and it really triggers my interest. I consider the real-time tracking of objects and hands one of the crucial parts of robotics, especially when it comes to dynamic environments where humans and robots have to cooperate.

I believe that enrolling at your University would give me the chance to further expand my knowledge and to gain experience in this field. If I were to be admitted to School of Computer Science and Communication, I am confident that I would make the most out of thethis opportunity and along with my background, experience, ability to think independently, practical skills and research ability, I would be able to make a substantive contribution towards the academic and research undertakings in this intriguing field.

Good Luck!

Graduate / SoP for PhD research degree in Nutrition [NEW]

Hi. Please take a took at my personal statement for a PhD research degree in nutrition. Any suggestions, comments or criticism (grammar, puncture, wording, style etc..) are welcomed! Thank you.

I have recently developed a great interest in nutrition, it has taught me to appreciate the importance of nutrition and that it has a profound effect on health and disease. One disease that I have gained much interest is in diabetes mellitus, how nutrition and lifestyle interventions can have an impact on this disease. Diabetes is global disease that currently affects millions worldwide and is increasing due to a sedentary lifestyle and the lack of knowledge of proper care. My clinical experience at the Chulalongkorn University Hospital has also enhanced my interest in nutrition and diabetes mellitus of which I have established a desire to want to educate people of proper nutrition that can improve one's quality of life.

During my final year of my undergraduate degree in Applied Chemistry I completed my senior project entitled 'Addition of omega 3 fatty acids to snack for increased nutrition value'. From my senior project not only have I developed laboratory skills but also helped me recognize my interest in the subject of nutrition. To gain further insight in the field, I continued my postgraduate degree in Applied Food and Nutrition. Being new to the field, I took time and worked hard to learn the basics of nutrition; nonetheless I enjoy the complexity of this field and feel proud to have excelled in it. Currently I am working on my thesis which focuses on developing a nutracetical extracted from the pomelo fruit that may possess great antiglycation properties. In which from my thesis I wish to create a basis of information into develop the pomelo extract into a nutraceutical food or a component of medical food that is cost effective and widely accessible to the Thai population.

During my post graduate study I also had the opportunity to attend various nutrition conferences and seminars. At these conferences and seminars I was enlighten to the many issues of the interplay between nutrition and disease and the development of nutritional approaches to diet related disease. I was also able to meet many world renowned leaders in nutrition which presented the latest research findings in nutrition. These not only broaden my academic vision but also furthered kindled my interest in nutrition.

Developing countries, like Thailand lack of widely accessible and affordable medical attention especially to diet related diseases like diabetes mellitus, thus effective nutracetical food that is cost effective and accessible may be valuable. My goals are to pursue a career in the research and development as researcher or consultant for developing different nutraceuticals that can not only provide health and medical benefits but also be free from side effects and cost effective to developing countries.

Apart from my growing interest and appreciation for nutrition and its impact on diabetes I would also like to expand my knowledge on nutrition and diabetes. I am most interested in glycation and the developing of antiglycatiom agents from dietary sources. I would like to apply for a research degree in Diabetes & Nutritional Sciences at UNIVERSITY because I believe that at UNIVERSITY being one of the most prestigious university can provide me with the knowledge and facilities that no other university can provide. The many collaborations that UNIVERSITY have with different internal and external facilities is advantageous as valuable information and resourceful research opinions can be provided. Moreover, the collaboration with the Academic Unit of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Sheffield University can precisely aid me developing a significant research. The first-class research facilities can also provide me with means in creating momentous evidence based research. I am eager to involve myself in cutting-edge research at your university and believe that UNIVERSITY is the important key to the pursuing of my career.
