Speeches / Courage in a text (speak as if we are the composer of the text) - oral presentation [3]
We have to do a 2 minute oral presentation, speak as if we are the composer of the text and address the following:
"What concept of Courage is portrayed in you text?"
"How have you conveyed this concept of courage in your text?"
The article i have chosen is on :smh.com.au/nsw/paramedic-swung-into-ravine-and-to-his-death-20111225- 1p9lb.html#ixzz1pKRsUyLU
Courageous people often have to face and act despite risks or consequences.
The news article, "Paramedic swung into ravine and to his death", informs you of Mick Wilson's Christmas eve mission to save an injured man who had fallen while canyoning, in which a freak accident claimed the life of the experienced paramedic.
Courage is often a result of moral obligation and a fierce passion for what a person believes in.
An important part of being courageous is making sacrifices for the well being of others
To face risks despite the threat of consequences in a true display of heroism
The 3 sentences by themselves are statements that i may use for the start of the paragraphs.
I was wondering how to address those questions and successfully put them into my speech, any help would be greatly appreciated
