Undergraduate / Diligence. I was given a lot of opportunities that have influenced who I am [2]
PROMPT: What qualities or unique characteristics do you possess that would allow you to contribute to the UCF community?
Diligence is the strongest academic characteristic that I possess. It will allow me to more fully contribute to the UCF community. From the time I was young, my parents taught me to do my best in everything whether it was sports, school, community service, etc. I have accomplished a lot in high school academically by maintaining a high GPA throughout high school, attending a community college during my junior year, and achieving Presidents Honor Roll at the college during the first two quarters. As well as being able to contribute to the UCF community at large with my academic success, I can also offer a lot with my personality. I enjoy getting involved by attending sporting events and participating in other school functions. I look forward to being an active participant in the UCF community.
PROMPT: How has your family history, culture or environment influenced who you are?
Growing up, I was given a lot of opportunities that have influenced who I am. I was given opportunities to help my community, financial stability to get me through my childhood, and receive a very good education. My home environment has always been beneficial for me. I was allowed the freedom of self expression to find myself. I wasn't built piece by piece by my parents, but they were always there to support me in every part of my life. Because of this environment, I am a strong believer in God, education is a priority, and I know that being kind to others is the only way to get far in life. I don't believe this because it's what my parents, teachers, or church leaders tell me; I believe this because I have experienced the consequences of living life the wrong way. I have been blessed with so much in my lifetime that I am so thankful for. The opportunities of an excellent education growing up, and especially parents that taught me right from wrong are strong examples of how my environment has influenced who I am today and the woman that I intend to be.
