I am sad but strong
I wonder why you did that
I hear you because I listened
I see your hurts
I want to hug them all away for you
I am sad but strong

I pretend I'm okay
I feel unloved,unwanted and unneeded
I touched your heart long ago
I worry that I won't reach it again
I cried and cried, because I am lost
I am sad, but strong

I understand even though I don't always want to
I say to myself many times "Where are YOU?"
I dream that life will give us both one more chance
I try to convince myself that it will
I hope that we both can realize WE need each other
I am sad but strong

I am crying inside!
I wonder WHY, we met
I heard your voice
I saw your smile
I wanted you close and now,
I am crying inside!

I pretend you are here
I feel your presence
I touch your heart
I worry you won't stay
I cried because you are gone, and now
I am crying inside!

I understand why we parted
I say I am so sorry
I dream of touching you again!
I try to convince myself I don't hurt!
I hope you are truly happy, and now
I am crying inside!
