Undergraduate / I'm a city girl; BOSTON U Sup/ Good Fit [2]
In no more than 250 words, please tell us why BU is a good fit for you and what specifically has led you to apply for admission?
Growing up, my memories consisted of Broadway shows, exploring central park, and the flashing lights of Times Square. Basically I'm a city girl; I am drawn towards the plethora of ethnicities, the rich arts brought over from every country, and the countless opportunities found on every corner. When the time came that had to begin my college search, I asked myself "What do I want in a college?" I wanted a vibrant diverse community, internships, and an abundance of majors to choose from. My hopes were dashed of finding the perfect school; none offered what I desired. Though one day I saw the light at the end of the tunnel; I came across Boston University. After a couple weeks of research it became clear to me that BU is the school for me.
There are many aspects that attracted me. For one BU is in the heart of a city ripe with an educated populace, a historical background, and people from all over the globe. Diversity provides our society with culture, inspirational perspectives, enhances social development, and creates adults ready for future success in a global society; something I believe BU can provide me. Though what really persuaded me to apply are the countless majors that are offered nowhere else. With all the opportunities an undecided student, like me, can explore their interests and really find their calling in life. I cannot wait to be a part of Boston University's Class of 2017.
