Even as an eighth grader I realize the importance of education. I want to be able to do things that I love when I'm older, and I know that college will help me with that. By going to college I would be a role model for others and definitely make my family and I proud. I love to be challenged and have fun while doing it which I know college will do for me. My future holds many great things and I know that having a college education with definitely make a difference.
A college education is the first step in making my life after high school an enjoyable experience. It will help me explore a wide variety of jobs that wouldn't be available to me otherwise. The main reason for me wanting to go to college is to expand my knowledge in a certain area so that I can succeed in a job of my choice in whatever field I want. College can also help develop maturity in someone. The reason I say that is because usually the kids going to college just came out of high school and were still living with their parents. Moving away shows responsibility and independence.
Another main reason people go to college is to prepare for the various number of jobs that are available once you are finished. In college you don't just do homework, assignments, or attend classes but also participate in volunteer work and internships. Those kind of things give students good info on what some jobs are like after college.
Last but not least, all of the diverse people that can be met while there. Many people who are in college find friends that will stick with them throughout life. You will also meet people who come from different areas, people with different values, and even people who speak different languages! This is a great time to learn from them and have fun doing it.
