The graph below shows the changes in maximum number of Asian elephants in 1997 and 2004.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The graph illustrates the alterations in the maximum count of Asian elephants in nine countries in 1997 and 2004.
The number of elephants was clearly the highest in India,while it was the lowest in China in the both of years,while in other countries there were fluctuation in numbers.
In 1997 in India elephants number reached to a peak of about 9900 elephants,while in 2004 it declined by nearly 2500 elephants.
Coming next,Myanmar with approximately the half of what India has got with almost 5300 in 1997 and 4600 in 2004.Thailand coming third in 1997 with approximately 4600,but that didn't happen in 2004 because number of elephants dropped to reach about 1300.Malaysia and Sri Lanka were almost the same in elephants numbers in 1997 with about 3000,while in 2004 a drop in elephants number in Malaysia happened to reach nearly 1000,while in Sri Lanka a slight decrease by about 400 occurred.In Laos the numbers in the two years stayed the same at around 1200,not so far from that comes Vietnam with about 1300 and 1200 in 1997 and 2004 respectively,In addition and close to that Cambodia counted about 1300 in 1997 and about 1500 in 2004.Last comes China with 1000 elephants in 1997 and with only about 400 in 2004.
Overall,numbers of Asian elephants had a decline from 1997 to 2004 in all of the nine countries with different amounts except Laos stayed the same.
