Scholarship / DATING SCIENCE & psychology - NTU [6]

Hi guys,
I'm Matthew from Singapore, currently studying in NTU.
This is my reason for changing my current course of study (electrical engineering) to psychology. 1000 characters limit.
Should I include reasons for leaving my current course? Also, do you think the topic is appropriate?

I started practising the art of conversing with girls after my national service stint ended. At that time I did not have a girlfriend nor have I been in any serious relationship before. Then my friend introduced me to a book on dating. I was hooked. This book seems to suggest that approaching and dating women is like a science, that by following specific steps and taking specific actions, one can eventually make the girl his girlfriend or wife. This completely shattered all the thoughts and beliefs I had on dating. I was truly amazed at how the human mind works.

Attraction between human beings is a science, and I am curious how the brain works in such situations. Psychology is the key to that answer. My dream is to become a ladies' man and thereafter a dating coach, where I can share my knowledge of dating science, specifically in the context of Singapore's population, to many males out there who have no clue on how to attract the opposite gender.

Also, I think my link back to psychology is kinda weak, I cant seem to find the right words ><

P.S: Many guys have read books on dating, just few dare to admit openly. :D

Since then, I took off the magazine articles on my mirror and accepted my condition.

Perharps you can elaborate more on how accepting your condition has changed your life for the better. It makes the 'influence' part in the question more complete, in my opinion. (I know the word limit sucks)

Anyway, I like the overall flow of your essay, it is creative and inspiring. All the best fellow NTU mate!

Scholarship / 'My best on everything' - NTU Scholarship Essay [2]

Little that I know, ~~it turned out that~~ if you took a test and passed it, you must enter the school, because all other public schools are blacklisted.

national ~~curriculum~~ , Cambridge ~~curriculum~~ and Olympiad curriculum

It turned out that enrolling here was one of the best decisions I ever made. Here, I pushed myself hard to cope with a rather unusual curriculum. My school basically has 3 curriculums; national curriculum, Cambridge curriculum and Olympiad curriculum. I completed the usual 3-year-national curriculum in my first year at ***. On second grade, I studied both Cambridge and Olympiad. In my senior year, I still study Cambridge for my winter A2 exams and I mostly prepare myself for university entrance examinations.

This paragraph is a description of what you studied in your school. I believe you can include more interesting details to show how enrolling your high school has significantly influence you.
