Undergraduate / Singing - Stanford: briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work [3]
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I stand in the darkness. My nerves are getting to me as the fear of being rejected again rises, but I am determined to not let anything stop me and my body is re-stabilised by my gathered confidence. The only barrier standing between me and my first moment to shine is a mere 2-inch curtain.
After a deep breath, I close my eyes and before I know it I am ten years old again in the school's music room with my piano teacher. She instructs me to play the tune again, but I am hypnotised by the singing in the room next door. Singing. Right then, with a burning passion, singing becomes everything I want to do.
Since then, nothing could come between me and my singing. Nothing except for a mere 2-inch curtain.
