Something that people don't necessarily know about me, but that I think they should? [2]
my secrets?
I hate the fundamental approach of learning - conventional grading and theoretical assessment. India is a country that is governed by marks and grades. By convention, students getting the top percentile tend to get praised by the society and their talents are accordingly judged and get better placements consequently, which I completely believe that it's totally baseless and false.
I believe that marks and grades do play an important role but they are not what determines the potential of a person. I find it more productive to open my thoughts and ideas to the vast ocean's meditative lull than cramming my school textbooks. I believe in conceptual learning by doing. I love practical classes which are very limited in my country. I often wait for my practical classes and assessments with much curiosity. The parallel pathfinding algorithm underlying my project came to me not in a laboratory or classroom, but as I observed scientific elements of medical science.
My different perspective and way of thinking makes me stand out of others. I strongly oppose rote learning. Visualization of concepts has helped me a lot indeed. I hope that students get judged and given appropriate opportunities through their practical understanding and application of what they've learnt rather than just marks. Moreover, being too studious often involves too many hours with your books, so much that you are not left with any hobby or time to develop any social skills. I definitely will not compromise on these. My hobbies and social skills play an important part in shaping me.

Losing the moment chasing the goal [8]

My experience that have elicited the most of my personal growth [4]
the impulse to make a next step
My passion towards science and the curiosity to reason scientific elements of life served the impetus for me to achieve my goals. It was purely my interest and dedication that kept me going, coping up with both academics and my inquisitive mind. My research in the field of biotechnology is the most eliciting aspect of my life. Three years ago, I underwent the most important phase of my personal growth. I realized that mortality is inevitable but the loss of a person which could have been evaded is even more painful. It was when my grandfather died of an asymptomatic heart attack. He dropped dead, while being completely normal. This incident kindled and instigated my passion. My impetuous passion drove me to find a solution to this deadly health disorder. Every day, nearly 45% of heart attacks are asymptomatic. It's even more saddening to learn that doctors are helpless to this unusual medical condition. My instinct emphasized my responsibility that I have. This is when I started thinking for the wellbeing of people around me. With nearly two years of perseverance, I indeed accomplished a breakthrough in my clinical research. My project investigated a novel concept that could potentially allow patients to detect silent heart attacks by non-invasively sensing the FABP3 biomarker in the bloodstream through transcutaneous blood analysis. This invention of mine sowed the seeds of innovation and creative thinking deep within myself. I hope the world around me gets better with science.
