Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas (in words, pictures, music or film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they do.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Artists like the musician, actors or songwriter should be allowed to express their creative sides to the public. Therefore, some people have argued that there should be no restrictions by the government on this. This essay will outlined on whether the government should set rules or not, on this creative people.
As this is the 21st century, people are allowed to have their say and rights. It goes the same for these artists. They should be allowed to express their thoughts and feelings through music, songwriting or drama. Governments should appreciate this group of people as they bring in revenue for the country by being successful when more people attend their shows and are likeable by people all around the world.
However, government had done a brilliant job in restricting some particular areas. Firstly, for example in most of the nations, there is a age limit of 16 to 18 years old for accessing adult films or those that are censored. This will prevent those young people from watching unnecessary parts that are inappropriate for them. Watching too much of those censored movies can have a negative impact on them now or in the future. Secondly, different people have various opinions when it comes to whether an artists should dress appropriately. For instance, in Brunei which is a Muslim country, governments in Brunei are strict about international artists who are performing there. There should be no vulgarity in the songs or they should dress appropriately. This has been the custom for a long time and people over there have to abide to it or they are not allowed to perform. We cannot argue in this case as it is the custom of the nation.
To put it in the nutshell, though government are doing the right way in having their say by limiting the age limit on the censored films, they should also allow the creative sides of this artists to be in full use by listening to their views.
