Scholarship / Aastha means faith - KGSP Personal Statement Graduate [3]
Hello,
This is my first time using EssayForm and I would like to hear your feedback on my Personal statement and I appreciate any type of feedback.
I am aiming to study master degree in graphic design in Korea
I want to express myself in one word is that my name is Aastha means faith because my parents always say to me believe in yourself. I am a person who is positive about every aspects of life. In my life my family are my biggest inspirations and have always motivated me to add value to others life. I belong to a middle-class family with one sibling whom I am the younger one. My father is a business man and my mother is a house wife. From a young age I had an affinity for nice looking drawing and cartoon. I was always fascinated by the colourful classic WALL's ice-cream menu on the refrigerator of this convenience mart I went with my family. I find the colourful wrapper of WALL's paddle Pop ice-cream to be attractive and I used to keep it inside my drawer as a collection. During that time, my personal definition of the word "art" is merely drawing,that's it. I have no idea what is graphic design and Visual Communication design. Ever since I started my undergraduate in Fine arts in T.M.U. I introduced to Graphic design as one of my subject in 2nd semester. I fell in love with Graphic design. I have learned and research so much about graphic design. Studying Graphic design is something that I'm driven towards I have gained an interest and spectrum of knowledge about graphic designers. Their work have inspired me to develop my own skills and have given me an insight as to how to establish a creative mind set. My passion and interest for graphic design has grown stronger and it is what motivates me to pursue a Master in Visual Communication Design. I am certain that I will discover more Career Path and improve my knowledge on this field.
My academic desires start to create a shape when I explore more about this subject. I started to take participate in competition. It help me to grow more as a person. In 7-8 feb 2021 my friend and I participated in 2 days workshop on 'Recent trend in Design Innovation' where we discuss 'live data Visualization' and present a presentation to other department. In 29 feb 2021 I participated in 'National Conference' and present my poster to the judges and explain about my project on the topic " Girl Child Education". In 8 march 2021 I had won " Second runners up" trophy for my outstanding "Women Empowerment". In 5 june 2021 I had won "First runners up" trophy for my outstanding work on "World Environment Day". In 2021 I participated in "World design day competition" this is my biggest achievement in my life that my work is selected under "top 20". This whole experience taught me about leadership, self-confidence, decision making, work under pressure, focus on strength. I always believe that " success comes by strengthening your strengths more than improving on my weakness" - Roy T. Bennett. I always try to develop/improve my strength.
To understand how company work in this field. In my 6 semester as an undergraduate I was fortunate to work as a graphic designer in "True Companion". My main role involved working with the senior designer team where I built upon my skills in teamwork. My team and me help COVID-9 people to provide free counselling. I make posters, social media design, counselling lesson posters all related to " Mental Issue". The entire experience exposed me to be a better designer or person. In 2021 I experience working in "kritz kala" where I work as a designer. Here, I have gained knowledge of working in different software programs and learned how to translate my digital work into plain t-shirt. After that I start working as a freelancer where I learned how to professionally negotiate with customers and competently present the project to an audience.
Being a working student was the promising experience I had I went through a lot of good and hard time. My university days were tough but it was awesome because of the Volunteering activities I had I was privileged to participate in Volunteering work with my faculty and classmates. I am very flexible to adjust in any environment. I strongly believe these experiences will be of good health to me in adjusting any environment.
Designing has made an enormous difference to the world we live in. Throughout recent years designing has developed globally through the effort of innovative design, technique and engineers who have overcome challenges using knowledge, skills and Innovative in design. Korean culture into the picture of mine because of its better quality of education and korean culture. I believe it is a way to support my academic knowledge to achieve my future goals. The progressive Educational standards of korea have impressed me the most ever since I caught design field and realized the significance of high quality education, the fast growing economy, technology advancement, high quality design and the global ranking educational institutes with a high reputation of south korea makes a great aspirations for me to have a better career perspective because korea has a long history of painting. This is a strength for me. Korea is one of the leading countries in the design industry with a unique design style and architecture that is always update with technologies. I believe korean University faculty discover the best talent and opportunity to learn new things and meet new people from other parts of the world. Additionally students who have studied abroad are very successful not just in finding jobs but in securing their future as well. I believe that KGSP will help me experience new things, improve my abilities and will train and equip me to have a boarder perspective academically

Scholarship / Study Plan to improve Foreign Languages (Korea and English degree course) before and after you come [5]

This is my first time using EssayForm and I would like to hear your feedback
I had my friends reviewing it and to them, I am missing the "why" but when I shared it with a professional/paid service it seems that I have met the requirements. Therefore, I am really confused if my essay meets the requirements or not. I appreciate any type of feedback.
Before coming to korea
1- In 4 july 2021 I completed my First step Korean language course online in Coursea app as it provide a step by step learning system with some small tests after the lesson.
2- Duolingo is also a best learning tool for me where I learned the pronunciation of korean alphabets Hangul from the voice
3- Read some research papers written in english on my study and be accustomed to Vocabulary which is frequently used in it.
After Coming to South Korea
A-Aug2022- Feb2023
1- I will cherish the one year language Course and study hard. I will set up the series of study strategies such arrange a study schedule and strictly follow it.
2- Learn korean vocabularies- learn 10 new words per day. At the end of the month, I will already have enriched vocabulary by around 300 new words (10*30days), 600 in 2 months and so on.
3- Obtain a Topic 3 by the end of 2022.
4- Find out if the University where I study offers a Korea Buddy program where I can do one- on one language exchange with a korean student.
B- March2023- Aug2023
1- To improve mt spoken language and listening skills, I would like to watch television shows and movies which play with subtitles. Meanwhile, I will also read novels to learn new words and the grammar of the language.
2- Obtain a Topic level 4 or 5 to communicate decently with koreans in any kinds of setting before doing my graduate degree program.
3- I will start to prepare for the academic year by pre- reading the course material and research while I just take myself for a more academic professional Environment.
