Undergraduate / NYU Supplement - famous New Yorker, poem, and going green [8]

Thank you all for your insight.
Unfortunately, the character limit on the Common App is strictly 500, which translates to about 80 words for me. The sight cuts me off if I'm even one character over, which is infuriating.

At my internship I worked in the kitchen as a line cook, up in the restaurant as a waiter, then room service, and front office. I did the internship to get some work experience in general, not necessarily for hotels (although I really enjoyed it, and I am considering some options). I'm thinking about changing my intended major away from strictly business and making a move for Arts and Sciences.

Undergraduate / Who you are and how you could contribut to Boston University Admissions essay [6]

That is a great take on the essay. I find it very original to use your name as the three words. Some might think it's too obvious, but I truly think that the best way to describe yourself and make sure that you are truly unique is to go with something no one else could use, therefore your own name. The only thing I would avoid, as someone else said, is switching between first and third person. Remember, the essay is about you. Embrace that. I also like the part with the Lexus in it. As a car-adorer, I try to include as much as I can about cars in my essay within reason. If you have any particular interest that you feel makes you stand out on a personal level, don't be afraid to reflect that in any of your college essays. I wrote my entire common app choice essay about how much I love cars, and connected that to my most defining qualities.

This is my NYU supplement collection of short answers.
I have had mixed reviews thus far, so I am trying to gain a little bit more perspective.
Any kind of helpful critique would be greatly appreciated!
It should also be noted that I have a profound love of cars.

If you had the opportunity to spend one day in New York City with a famous New Yorker, who would it be and what would you do? (Your New Yorker can be anyone -past or present, fictional or nonfictional - who is commonly associated with New York City; they do not necessarily have to have been born and raised in New York.)

Larry David
I would spend my day with Larry David filming a short documentary on the introspective screenwriter, titled "A Day with Larry." I would capture David's facility for turning the most quotidian, idiosyncratic local events, into psychological treatises with universal appeal. I would want to experience micro-events with him, such as the injustices experienced in cramped cross-town bus and convey them as macro-occasions with the neurotic proclivity inherent to the character of New York City.

Write a haiku, limerick, or short (eight lines or less) poem that best represents you.

I am
Like an automotive masterpiece
Designed in Modena,
Engineered in Munich,
And driven along the Riviera.
I am
A product of multiples,
The best of all worlds,
For skill in tongue and numbers,
I set the benchmark.

In the year 2050, a movie is being made of your life. Please tell us the name of your movie and briefly summarize the story line.

Going Green
David's entrepreneurial spirit and environmentally sound business ethics have fulfilled him professionally but he yearns for more. He rekindles his childhood dream of becoming a race-car driver, and aims for the deadly Nurburgring, infamously known as the "Green Hell." He builds his own environmentally sound car but the media declares it a cover for emission questions at his lucrative factories. Refusing to justify his intentions and fueled by his innocence, he qualifies, he races. Does he win?

Please tell us what led you to select your anticipated academic program and/or NYU school/college, and what interests you most about your intended discipline.

I have always been grateful for my bilingual English and Turkish upbringing. These languages were the building blocks that facilitated my French and Spanish studies, which I began at the age of four. My skills in languages have helped define who I am personally, academically and who I strive to be professionally. I believe that my aptitude will facilitate my aspirations for a career in International Business as my anticipated program at the Stern School of Business.

In addition to any work experience that you listed on your application, please tell us how you spent your most recent summer vacation.

After working as an intern at the Four Seasons in Canary Wharf, I traveled to France and Turkey for two weeks on a personal cultural mission in order to experience the authenticity of daily life. My days were filled with interacting with the heart and soul of Provence and Istanbul, the people themselves, which gave me a privileged view into the subtleties of the languages and the nuances of each culture, and I was inspired by the harmony of difference created by both cultures.
