Undergraduate / liberal arts education admissions essay [2]

good enough? ive been stressing over this forever and i just want to be done with it. help is much appreciated!!!!!!

Nestled in the heart of an infectiously dynamic city, Eugene Lang offers an incomparably rewarding college experience. Until I discovered Lang, my dreams of studying in Manhattan were always laced with the concern that I could compromise the quality or intended nature of my education. However, schooling at Lang imposes no such compromises, as its values so vividly reflect my own. As an aspiring journalistic writer, I perceive Manhattan as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Eugene Lang boasts ample opportunities for me to use this inspiration for my academic benefit, as an innovative liberal arts college that couldn't be more advantageously located.

Lang's interdisciplinary curriculum encourages the pursuit of various academic endeavors within the realm of the liberal arts. I would have the invaluable freedom to constructively experiment with my strengths and interests, while maintaining my focus on journalism. This agenda would enable me to apply myself in ways I hadn't suspected, and ultimately help me find my true niche in the liberal arts.

The discussion-driven seminars at Lang are also especially appealing to me. As a social and inquisitive individual, I have a lot to benefit from this style of education. I would constantly have the opportunity to not only express my opinions and have them challenged, but to consistently gain insight from the perspectives of my peers. I find this learning environment far more relevant and productive than the impersonal lectures of a larger university.

Networking is very important in college, and at Lang I could form valuable friendships within a passionate community of similarly motivated peers. I am eager to contribute to such a community, and have the opportunity to collaborate in artistic and intellectual endeavors. I would seize the opportunity to write for The New School Free Press, and become actively involved in its publication. With a vigilant eye for grammatical errors, perhaps I would pursue an editing position. As a student of Eugene Lang, my work would be subjected to the scrutiny of helpful and well-connected professors who could help me maximize my writing abilities. As an undergraduate, I also aspire to score an internship and immerse myself in the working world. Lang offers not only a quality education, but an advantageous beginning to a journalistic career. With respect to my personal aspirations, my reasons for applying to Lang are many and meaningful. There is nothing I could appreciate more than the chance to have this stimulating and maturing experience.

Undergraduate / GMSP. My passion for history [4]

"I mean the history of man's evolution, the creation of the universe, the star s, and the solar system was a bit fascinating to me."

You need to write in a more formal manner! The phrase "I mean," can only work AGAINST you! And I don't think you should say "a bit fascinating" because the word "fascinating" implies an extreme emotion.
