Undergraduate / "I love argyle." - Stanford Roommate Letter [7]

This is really great! Such a clever way to express yourself!
Personally, I would leave out "Our dorm room is going to be amazing."
Other than that, leave it just as it is!

Undergraduate / Intellectually Exiting experience? (started a fundraiser at my school) [4]

How does your idea intellectually excite you? It doesn't make much sense to me. The idea could work for a prompt that asks you to evaluate a significant experience and its impact on you.

They summer program sounds like a good idea if it's developed well.

Open a toy chest and it will reveal a myriad of trinkets. Simple in their construction, each of these toys is surprisingly complex. With the ability to entertain a child for hours on end, these apparatuses have an incredible power that is taken for granted. Even with such capabilities, toys are seen as childish and puerile.

Always infatuated with the idea that something so simple can be so amusing, I have a long history of exploring these creations. However, it wasn't until recently that I uncovered a different side of these toys. While playing with a simple kaleidoscope, I unearthed a ground breaking truth. Meant to engross children, a kaleidoscope is a small tube that contains two mirrors that show incredible patterns as the tube is rotated. When translated directly from its Greek roots, kaleidoscope means a scope for viewing beautiful forms. Majestic forms is exactly what can be seen through the lens, however, there is a deeper truth. Within the layers of mirrors, I found reality. Looking through the kaleidoscope at the complex patterns, I realized that this provided an accurate view at life. Unlike the kaleidoscope itself, life is not straight forward. It is however, intricate like the patterns that are seen through the instrument. Convoluted and multifaceted, that is what life truly is and I was baffled when the kaleidoscope showed it to be that way.

Mystified by the sophisticated truth that such a child-like tool had to offer, I felt a new urgency to continue to examine the unseen side of these toys. Never would I have thought that a toy could convey actuality but I was dazzled by what the kaleidoscope had to offer. It opened to eyes to see a world that has many simplistic things that bear an incredible deeper meaning. I want to encourage others to explore as I did and uncover unknown truths. If people learn to broaden their horizons and delve into the such curious subjects, maybe they will learnt to admire the minute wonders that surround us.
