Short essay describing a place - descriptive essays
My teacher has assigned me another work again.
He wanted me to write an short essay describing a place, there is no need for paragraphing. Any advice?

Essays / Help me in this essay about smoking! [11]
After hearing your advice, i decide to make my own outline.
here is my outline,
now im troubled by making the introduction. any help pls?
1st main point
The origin of the smoking
Supporting details: -smoking is a habit.
-It is believed that it is brought to our nation in late 19 centuries.
- smoking is advertised in a stylish way.
Examples/facts : -Smoking was popularly advetised about a decades ago.
- People were influenced by the image of smokers who are very stylish in the advertisement
- They were also attracted to the beautiful package of the cigerattes.
2nd main point
Harmful effects of the smoking
Supporting details : - smoking contains a lot of health hazardous materials
- these materials can cause our health in peril
- blacken our lungs
- causing inefficiency of transfussion of the carbon dioxide and oxygen
Examples/facts - Nicotine - cause one to be addicted to cigerattes
- Tar - blackens the lungs
- carcinogenic substances - cause cancer
3rd main point
The reason for the smoking being popular in Malaysia.
Supporting details : - peer pressure
- lack of knowledge about the danger of the smoking
- lack of consciousness
- learned from the adults
Examples/facts - having the pressure from peer for not smoking with them
- never learn about the danger of the smoking neither in school or home
- having their parents who smoke ,are more likely to smoke when they grow up
4nd main point
The effort of government in tackling the smoking
Supporting details : - having campaign
- instil the awareness about the danger of the smoking since primary school
- ban the smoking in the public areas
- enact law on the cigeratte company
- increase the price of the cigeratte
Examples/facts - Public cannot afford the high prices of the cigarette and hence helping them to reduce their comsumption of the cigarette
- Smoking not only damage our health it also causing the peril to the public, so smoking is banned for public health.
- making law to ban the cigarette company from making any advertisment on cigarette
and also i was assigned another essay again.
but that essasy i will post it in a new thread!1

the efforts and the reasons i sorted them out as there is not any website which is able to give me all the information i need. Now, we have the material, but still i am not so good at the opening. Any advice?
