Essays / Criminal justice - can someone check my thesis statement? [7]

Your personal thoughts and opinions may supply you with enough creativity. For instance put your self in a situation where you are a police officer protecting someone who is part of a minority, or being a lawyer and having to defend someone who is part of a minority. Then flip the script, you become the minority in need of protection. Another idea is how to deal with a minority group being assaulted in jails and you being a correction officer, how would you deal with it.

Essays / The experience of being a scout ; Eagle Scout rank [9]

You can write how it changed you and how you percieve it may help other youths from getting involved in the darker parts of life i.e. gangs, drugs. You can elaborate on how it helped you get through some hard times during your life, or what path you would have taken in life had you never joined the scouts.

I am having difficulty narrowing down ideas for a thesis statement on Prime Minister John A. Macdonald. If anyone is knowledgable in the area of Canadian history and might be willing to help it would be greatly apreciated.

Some things about Prime Minister Macdonald:

-United Canada
-Was a drunk
-Built the Canadian Pacific Railway
-first prime minister of Canada
-born in Glasgow Scotland
-family immigrated to Kingston in 1820
-rebellions made him a lawyer
-knighted by Queen Victoria

*I was leaning towards the idea of: Would Canada be the nation it is today without John A. Macdonald.

Any help is appreciated, even if you can help me elaborate the thesis i presented above.
