Describe the world you come from - for example, your family, community or school - and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.

In my perspective, being fixed on a specific aspiration seemed very restricting to the many possible pursuits in life. The world provides countless opportunities that living based on one aspiration or even two or ten, fails to consider the potential of the human capability and the vast possibilities of experience. Therefore, to be open to any new discoveries by either realization or impulse, I have no fixed direction, but this does not mean I lack ambition; instead I took the liberty of freely choosing several aspirations, and my acknowledgment that there are endless other paths in life have prevented me of choosing a single, absolute ambition. I have decided that I cannot be held back by being selective; rather I have chosen to be limitless.

The typical normality in my life consisting of dreary scheduled day of school, study, and homework intensified the vague need for more. This undefined "more" is the origin of my curiosity of the world and my desire to diversely experience. The "true" world I have resided was primarily within my consciousness; there wasn't any deeper connection with anyone else compared to the sole understanding of my own reasoning. Due to this curiosity and chosen solitude, almost most of my time was, and still is, spent in either the living room or my bedroom, entertaining myself with the means of media, especially magazines, television, and the Internet. Every time I was exposed to these media, I gradually, but unintentionally, had a revelation that the world is much more frighteningly immense and diverse than what my perspective could comprehend. However, simultaneously, it granted me the sense of the powerful human ability to drastically affect the Earth. History have shown that small people have done many things, and those same small people did not fear venturing out the borders of current knowledge or morality. I wanted to be one of those people, who were limitless in their depth of desire.

Whenever I flipped a page in Time magazine, clicked on link in Yahoo, or watched the news with my stepfather, I tried to remember many of the marvelous news and information. However, my memories were short-lived in my brain, but my fascination left an impression of amazement. Once, I have read about the diverse varieties of potatoes in National Geographic, it was amazing how these potatoes did not compare with the ones bought in a grocery store. Seeing the unique, inconsistencies of nature, I wanted to be a botanist. Afterwards, when I was surfing on the Internet, I learned that the Universe, the realm of existence, was constantly expanding. At that moment, I wanted to be a physicist. When I questioned normality after viewing documentaries showing various mental disorders, my desire was to be a psychologist. I don't consider these ambitions a phase in which they were temporary; I'm still very interested in all these fields and may possibly cultivate more aspirations at no matter what age.

There are endless capabilities of what a human can achieve; I, therefore, cannot settle to a single aspiration or restrict myself to a certain number of aspirations. Holding so many dreams and being open-minded to more potential dreams, I cannot pinpoint what specific aspiration I have, and so my aspirations are limitless.

Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud, and how does it relate to the person you are?

To steady the excited fingers, the right hand primitively grasps the pencil and strikes, then continuously, harshly scribbling upon the once-spotless paper until the fingers are moderately tired. Soon, the stained paper is discarded, replaced by a perfectly straight, clean canvas. Following the pathway of the eyes, the pencil then ice-skates about, filling every sight with lines, curves, shades, and textures. Concentration is intense, for perfection must be achieved. Countless minutes afterwards, the final product is acknowledged and cautiously kept. This is how I draw.

Art is freedom; it is subjectively objective, designing the creation of a desired image bound only by the creator's imagination and criteria. Meaning is not an obligation; there are no restrictions, judgment, and morality in art. The motivation of drawing is completely internal, started by a vision and further touched with ideas. This quiet liberty naturally attracted my interest by enabling my emotions to manifest passively. I am an introvert; this characteristic have defined myself since the moment my consciousness sufficiently matured enough to understand conformity. My curiosity caused my pieces to become somewhat a separate entity by inadvertently producing each of their story and emotions. There was almost a hint of empathy towards each of my artwork because of the distinctive situations that I designated, based merely on physical attributes. Since art was everywhere and readily available, even without the meager access of typical media such as a paper and a pencil, my solitude was heavily engaged and my mind was satisfyingly indulged.

Art has no normality, but by my own criterion for realistic perfection, my perspective magnified insignificant details that harmoniously formed the big picture. However, because the very nature of the arts, drawing has also allowed me to sympathize and sparked my desire to understand the unique history, situation, and mindset of each individual. It gave me the revelation to appreciate the variance of the Universe; imperfections are terribly judged based on the simple surface of appearance by human perception. The arts demand no requirement, but allow limitless potential, and because of this natural freedom given, I have decided to take that advantage and input unique characteristics and flaws instilled by every different forms of life.
