Motivation letter

The reason for this letter of motivation is to convince you of my ability and my wish to study at the Ostford University.

Nowadays computer sciences are developing very fast, despite of this I am convinced in my skills, because I am quite hardworking person and since my childhood I have had a goal to be good in whatever I do.

To begin with, for this moment I am a student of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University , studying at the faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. Since I remember myself, I have been very interested in Natural Sciences. At school I was keen on math and was very good at it, also I have a golden medal, because I graduated school as an excellent student. I got high scores in the National Exams, so I became a student of State University and because of high scores I got Government grant.

In the first year of my bachelor's degree I was learning programing language C and algorithms. I found it very interesting and fascinating. I used to work about solving problems with great passion and interest. Programming languages opened a new world for me. So I go on studying C++, Java, Operating systems and so on. I was so keen on High Level Programming languages, specially java , that I did lots of extra work , used to read articles and search for good code examples on the internet . Moreover, I found out that I was more interested in applied mathematics than in theoretical one. So I took four subjects from Numerical Analysis block. First we used to learn theory and analyze for example approximation of method, then we wrote program using some programing languages, or sometimes used MATLAB. As I already told you, I am good at math, so I found it easy to write good and clear code and algorithm. I enjoyed the way we used to analyze problems and solve them programmatically. Right now I am working part time on .Net programming. For this moment I have a solid university background in computer science and I wish to take deeper specialization that gives high competence and research experience.

When I first heard about exchange program, I was very interested in it. Studying at Ostford university and accessing first-rate facilities will provide me with essential knowledge and research skills to achieve my goal. Moreover, living in Norway and experiencing European environment will be precious opportunity for me, as I have been interested in Scandinavian culture since I first read Scandinavian mythology. It was at the age of ten and from that moment I am looking forward to looking through many new things about it. Therefore, I consider your master program a vital step towards my career success. In the way to develop both socially and technically.

I am socially active person. I took part in the student protest against torment facts in prison. Also I often take part in public lectures, where students and lecturers discuss about education reform.

I like your letter very much, you already have wonderful career and it is clear from letter that you are motivated and skilled. Just I think that you should talk a little bit more about the subjects that you are going to learn in university. You could write that you have good practical experience and you would like to have theoretical knowledge as well to be able to analyze situations better. Good luck :)

Book Reports / Argumentative Essay based on George Orwell's book "1984" [3]

Hi there, I have read "1984" and it's really great book. To begin with Big brother reminds me Stalin very much. When I was readying it the fact that in every house was camera, seemed for me very unreal.

I thought that system can not control people so hardly. But after I have seen a documentary film, where was said than in 1930 in SSR there was line radio, that was propagandistic of course.add in every house it must be turned on loud, in the way that neighbors where eshure that you are listening it. If you not, than you would be suspected. I think that it is really interesting, because such a terror is so unbelievable.

Another interesting thing is that everybody loved Big brother. IT may seem for you unreal but loving dictators is very natural. I live in georgia where Stalin was born. and my grandmaher's generation adore Stalin, in spite of what he have done. I want to say that propaganda really works, even people who's relatives were killed love Stalin. They think that he didn't know anything about it, but someone evil killed their relatives. But the fact is that every document was signed by Stalin. So he knew what was happening. (sorry for my english, I hope it will help you a little but)
