Scholarship / resolve challenge of central Highland- SCHOLARSHIP [2]
plz correct my essay, thanks for any help
Through my experience working in the field of Food science, I identified that it is necessary to have reforms in post-harvest technology of Vietnam, specially for cacao and coffee which is important commodities of Central Highlands. So, I and my research team prepared together project proposals like using enzyme in coffee wet processing and stage of cacao fermentation, defending the proposals and implementing projects. When starting to carry out projects, we faced a big challenge being lacking of qualified labour resource. Because Daklak is a remote and disadvantaged province, it is hard for us to rent appropriate workers with high qualification to implement our projects. I came up with a immediate solution which agreed to supervise students from universities of Vietnam in their thesis. This not only provided us a qualified, motivated, young labour resource, but it also give students the chance to approach real working environment. Moreover we could share knowledge, experience and cooperation with universities in my country. To be able to get students to be supporters of my research team, I designed a program to engage, guide and train them in the research.
During performing projects, I realised that methods used to assemble research data were quite outdated, not accurate. Although WASI's laboratory was equipped with modern equipment such as HPLC machine, spectrograph..., they were not effectively utilized to serve research as a result of lack methods and knowledge in using them. Therefore, I had to search documents, learn experience from my friends, colleagues, lectures... to find out methods using them effectively in my research, then guiding my research team. by this way, we were able to progress our research method to obtain better results, thoroughly exploit equipment resource of WASI, safe time and labour.
