It all depends on who you are, what you stand for as well as what you believe in. I personally cogitate...better the uncomfortable truth than the sweet lie.

Just because one person didn't get screwed over for lying doesn't mean the whole world is not out to get you.

Just saying...but to answer ur question-not always. By the way nothing stays hidden forever
