Graduate / Admission Letter to a master program of Logistics and Supply Chain Management [NEW]

This is my admission letter draft to a master program. There is no word limit, and it is 723 words. Awaiting your kind comments...Thanks in advance!

I believe that learning something is an endless journey in a person's life. This is because; I am trying to fill every minute of my life with learning something. After I graduated from the university, I was at the parting of the two ways; finding a job or continuing my education. Unfortunately, I postponed my second thought to the future until I make some savings for an education in abroad but I never canceled this plan. Studying "International Logistics and Transportation" was my first choice before applying to a university in my country, Turkey. Before I applied, I read a lot about the program and my parents helped me a lot to understand what my possible future career in Logistics may bring me after graduation. I took many opinions from various people who were working in Logistics sector before I applied. Those people who are in this sector already, defined logistics as "science of planning" and I thought this definition fits to my personality.

Planning and organizing are two most important things for both my professional and social life. Also, I believe that focusing on details on a work is the most effective way to make a good job better. It is my obsession that if something is mentioned with my name; at least it should be close to defined as perfect. During my study at university and after graduation, my career goals were settled with my experiences I gained at my internship period. During my university education, I have worked as an intern in a ship management company for 3 months and then, they offered me a part time job during my last year at university. The first step of my career goals, was working in maritime sector. After graduation I was titled as Logistics Operator of Technical Department in X Ship Management Company which has the largest fleet in Turkey. My current job is about ordering and requesting cost quotations of bulk carriers' various mechanicals from global suppliers.

However, after my one year experience in this sector, I think a bachelor's degree in international logistics and transportation, combined with industry experience and knowledge of a technical field, will be an advantage for me who is interested in working for other logistics sectors beside my sector ship management of bulk carriers. I would like to have more knowledge and practice about supply chain systems of different sectors.

During my school time and working experience I have always worked to get excellent communication skills, flexibility, practicability, problem solving and critical thinking. And I became a person who never afraid to take responsibilities and who has an overwhelming desire to learn. However I believe that the values that my possible education in ZLC, will give a high boost to my future career and make me ready for international supply chain challenges, risk management and different techniques.

Beside this, I am eager to meet, study or work with new people, also in my social life. Because I know this will bring me so much experience and will improve my communication skills which I will need a lot in my professional life.

Wherever I go, I enjoy organizing activities which make the people around me get together and share their interests. Even at my office, I like to offer to my colleagues various social activities which put us together and bring more collective power to us. Creating and having a team spirit with other people is the most challenging but on the other hand the most enjoyable thing for me. Not only in my professional life but also in my social life, I believe, I am good at creating this spirit.

After graduating from this program, my primary career goal is having an international career in logistics and supply chain management sector. For this reason my next step, to achieve my career goals, will be having an excellent education in xxx to learn new systems which are different from I learnt at university and widen my knowledge about the subject.

I believe that if someone has enough self confidence, he can achieve everything he wants in his life and can be successful in everything that he does. And I define myself as someone who is curious and eager to learn new things and open new windows in her life to see the world from different angles.

Writing Feedback / Essay on Rating TV Shows and Movies [6]

IMHO...

qte//
What about TV shows? Opponents will ask . Why do we rate them? The answer to this is, p eople rate them, but we do so to a lesser extent. If anything we should be more aware of what TV shows contain.

In general it is a good one but you had asked a lot of questions in your essay.

Book Reports / Who was the tragic hero in antigone? creon or antigone? 10th grade essay. [4]

IMHO...

I think you can define both characters with 2 separate paragraphs. Then you can add your conclusion and it looks more clear and brief. You can state your conclusion like "As a conclusion Creon was a truly a tragic hero with a tragic end all due to his pride and his overconfidence. Because everyone has flaws, but overconfidence is something that can bring about much damage and can lead to some one's end."

good luck and Namaste ! :)

Graduate / Why you are specifically well-suited to contribute to this internship [2]

Please kindly send me your opinions about my essay which is for an application of an internship regarding global health researches. I passed the word limit (500 words) and I was wondering how badly it will affect my essay?

I love to help people

A strong quality of mine is my dedication in helping others. Through various volunteering opportunities I have established communication skills, listening skills, and leadership skills. I am a member of International XYZ Clubs which allows me to help people who really need, serve my own community, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through people from different cultures. With my friends who dedicated themselves to various aid activities like me, we got organized and attend various health programs which were organized by our club. As an example of volunteered activities that I worked are; supporting local and large-scale efforts to control and prevent diabetes and diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of vision loss in adults of working age in industrialized countries, collecting donations for fully equipped ambulance for newborns in Bosnia and Herzegovina, worked in a sight - centered activity, which is called Sight First.

The most important health aid activity which stamped on my mind is absolutely the Sight First activity. We collected about 220 eye-glasses from our local people and send them to the area of Sri Lanka which was devastated by the tsunami of 2004, and which has thousands who lost their eyeglasses and their ability to see clearly. It was amazing and meaningful for me that, although there are lots of miles and an ocean between my country, Turkey, and Sri Lanka; the discipline and dedication to this activity of all volunteers were so strong, from beginning to collect the eye glasses to deliver them to the dependent population in Sri Lanka. The whole process was followed in an order professionally and this gave me the inspiration to use my organization skills and Logistics and Supply Chain education for these kind of activities and it gave me the opportunity to help them more on my behalf. I considered this process just like a supply chain management and helped the other volunteers to plan every step of this aid and took care of every single detail of the process.

I love to help people. However, when I wanted to go further, I realized I could do much more things with a professional guidance. I can help people by myself but when it comes to reach larger scales of areas and people it is easier to provide help to them in an organized way. With a group of dedicated people, this allows me to bring them more things that I can do by myself. Therefore, people who have better health opportunities like me should do something for the others to catch the same standards. Adding to my current compassion for the less-lucky people, the skills and knowledge I acquired from those activities will help me contribute more to the community.

These kind of experiences that I had, not only allowed me to be a positive effect role model for the people around me and encourage them to work with me in these activities, but also taught me how important responsibility and making a significant contribution to the discipline of health and humanitarian by using my own personal skills and education is. I believe with this internship I will catch a further opportunity to put my education of logistics and transportation together with my passion to help, to provide people who need health care support around the world, good health care and same opportunities with the developed countries.

Thank you for your help in advance.
