Research Papers / Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster - History of Soviet Russia Research Paper: Research Question [3]

I'm writing a rather short research paper for my Soviet history class and I have already gathered a lot of information about a particular topic. I just wanted to run a research question by someone to see if it seemed focused enough. My research question (so far) is as follows:

"How did the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster reflect the Soviet transition from economic and social stagnation to perestroika and glasnost?"

If anyone can offer some help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Writing Feedback / IELTS : Vegetarianism - why some people are choosing to become vegetarian? [8]

Maybe consider adding to the idea of vegetarianism for health reasons. Yes, vegetables are awesome and have a lot of good stuff in them! But I think another huge reason why people aren't eating as much meat is because of the mystery of what the meat might contain chemical/hormone-wise. Personally, I know tons of people who don't eat meat because the packaging doesn't disclose what kinds of hormones, additives, preservatives, and/or antibiotics the meat may have been treated with. Additionally, tons of meats are dyed to look more appealing in the grocery store, which is unknown to a lot of people.

Anyway, maybe add something more in depth about it. It might help you out a little. :)

Writing Feedback / IELTS: working in team enhances the students' efficiency in the study process [9]

I've often been told that it gives credibility to your argument if you include some pros/cons of the stance opposite to your own and then go on to prove why your stance is superior. Fore example, if you were to say "Although independent study can allow a student to...(insert positive aspect)...studying within a group is conducive to...(stronger advantage)." I think this helps because rather than ignoring the benefits of another method of study, you can acknowledge them and still show that your preferred method is more advantageous.

Maybe something to consider, but if you feel it's unnecessary, then no worries.

Essays / Thesis Statement on a History Essay [5]

Thesis Statement for History Essay: Is it strong enough?

Hello there!
I'm currently working on a history paper and I've come up with a rough body of information that I'd like to cover. If anyone would be so kind as to give me some feedback about my thesis statement and let me know if it can be strengthened or needs more detail, it would be greatly appreciated! Here is what I'm working with so far:

"The evolution of women's labor activism from the late 19th century through the 1960s, as well as social feminist literature, and the widespread use of birth control were the leading factors that contributed to the development of the women's liberation movement in the late 1960s."

Thanks very much for your time!
