Hi...I'm new to this forum and I'm a novice in writing and correcting essays, but I'm trying to help you here. I find some mistakes in your essay, those are

dos-do's

Don't repeat the name 'political leader' always. Better to use synonyms such as 'senator' or pronouns.
It is good to mention 'Effective' in terms of what in introduction in general consideration?
Be careful with pronouns(singular or plural) and punctuations.
