Writing Feedback / Essay: Extra private lessons outside school hours helps do better at school. Disagree or agree? [2]
Give me your comments as they'll be valuable for me :)
Although attending formal classes at school is always necessary to all kinds of students, there is a question whether they should have extra private lessons? In my opinion, extra private lessons help them do better at school due to the efficiency of learning that they will gain when working alone or in a small group with a teacher.
First of all, extra lessons outside school hours help students practice what they have learnt at an advanced level, which is always the main task of an extra class. As we know, the limited time at a formal class sometimes only allows teachers to give their students the most basic knowledge, not enough for them to pass exams which are more and more difficult.
Secondly, it is easier for teachers to care for each of students working in a small group than at a formal class usually having from 30 to 40 students. In some ways, extra classes create more chance for teachers and students to discuss the unclear matters so as to find the most suitable keys to exercises. The teacher will be the one who can help achieve the best of their students' abilities.
Last but not least, extra private lessons make students usr their learning time in the right way. It is like when we concentrate on something we usually do it best, lessons outside school hours will reduce considerable distraction of students. Moreover, they can also adjust the speed of learning suitably to themselves but not having to skip exercises they don't understand.
Some people say that extra private lessons can waste both students and their families time and money; however, it is only true if they don't learn in a serious way. Vice versa, students should take extra lessons as a way to gain confidence in studying and then perform well at school.
