Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in the hope to be granted with an Undergraduate Architecture Program at the Özyeğin University. I am interested in this program and would like to perfect the art of Architecture drawings and projects processes because I desire to become a drawer, creator or designer of buildings. It is my view that Özyeğin University will certainly help to pursue my goal. I want to learn creating and modelling building projects at Özyeğin university from the following reasons:

The first reason is the feature of this innovative university. It will provide me to get practice in modern studios and laboratories and work in different environment at the university. It is important to me to get a truly practical experience that definitely enhances chances to achieve the goal in my career. Also the exchange student program will help me to have a grateful experience in different countries.

The second reason is strong interest in creating building. The first experience to have an interest in Architecture is modelling work in a class at elementary school. This is because I like to make, fix or draw something with my hand. In high school, I learned Electrical and Electronics field at technical course. It is also one of my area that I have interests in, but when I had an internship experience in a company, I realized that I have more interest in drawing and creating structure in the Architecture field than in the pure Engineering work.

The third reason is synergy effect of Architecture and my past experiences, mainly that of Electrical and Electronics field. I studied Electrical scheme and technology in Electronics in high school. In 2012 and 2013 I represented my school in International Robot Competition; making vehicle module with optical sensor. I have designed my robot and made or fixed continuously for better performance. Also in the internship, I experienced to work on projects in a building site together with an engineer through one year. These kinds of experience might provide a unique approach to my way of thinking in Architecture. I am sure my background of Electrical and Electronics knowledge will strengthen the future of my Architecture career.

The Architecture will be updated as the technology gets advanced. Architecture also can be described as intersection of art and technology. Therefore, I see synergy effects with my background.

So far I have not had Architectural background but with my interest in creating and building things, I believe I will improve a good level of designing, planning and constructing in Architecture program. I am confident that Özyeğin University will definitely suit my intentions and I will have the skills, knowledge, and contacts that will enable me to pursue a career as an architect.
